Summary
Jack’s face is red and scrunched up in the middle of a loud cry, and Castiel feels like a piece of incandescent coal has nudged its way into her heart and made itself home. Her own eyes are suddenly, inexplicably welled up with tears, and she looks up, vision blurry, to find Deanna in front of her, lowering herself to her knees.
“Deanna,” the word comes out choked up, “Dee, look.”

Summary
Phil used to close his eyes, press the tip of his nose to Dan’s cheek, and tried not to get too choked up with emotion. He still does the same thing, except now it’s the cold pillow he presses his face into while drowning in his too-empty bed, and thinks how Dan feels more and more like a stranger with each passing day.

Summary
Sure, Tyler would consider him and Josh to be pretty close. Closer than most guy friends their age, even. Josh knows things about Tyler that he’s never told anyone. Not his girlfriends, his journals—not even God. But this?
This is an entirely new level. A level that Tyler could never in a million years have prepared for.

Summary
While touring Breach in 2025 and 2026, Josh has been watching Tyler lose himself in his music from behind his drums. The stimming, the screaming, the kneeling reminds him of the early days. Tyler's doubts and struggles on display for anyone with a mind like theirs to witness.
Was it foolish of Josh to think Tyler had overcome most of those battles?
or: Tyler has been doing crazy stuff during center mass and heavy dirty soul especially;
tying nooses with the cable of his mic, wrapping the clancy stole around his neck tight and dropping to his knees, eyes closed like the memories he's singing about bring agony.
josh is a little concerned

Summary
It's been years since he was able to be just Tyler. He's Tyler of Twenty One Pilots, one half of a two-piece band, and if his voice has an echo now, it's not because he's speaking to an empty room—it's because his words are heard and repeated. It used to be his dream, his project, his doubts and fears and anxiety wrapped and rapped and poured onto black and white keys, strummed into whatever strings were under his fingertips, but then there was Josh, and the rest of their crew that grew, as did their audience, as did the voices that sung his words right back to him. It's his words, his symbols etched onto the skin of people whose lives they've touched, changed, saved—always so surreal, so humbling—so it's not just them anymore. It's been hard to carve out a space just for himself in this new life they've built, a life that's much bigger than himself, and it all started when Josh permeated that wavering membrane of his self all those years ago.
This should only involve the two of them. Whether it goes on or not.
It's the day after, and Tyler's afraid.
