“Why don’t you hate me?” Obito rasped. “You should. I nearly killed Rin. I nearly killed you so many times.”
“I also nearly killed Rin,” Kakashi shrugged. “You’re you. I can’t hate you.”
“You did hate me. You hated the Sharingan.”
Kakashi shrugged again. His thumb drew smooth arches over Obito’s rough skin. Faint sunlight trickled in from a small window at the very top of the prison cell. They were both tired to the bone. It had been nearly a decade of this chasing and fleeing. This sort of cyclical, endless failure would wear anyone down to rags.
“I kept it, didn’t I?” Kakashi’s hand dropped. They both stared at each other. After a moment of consideration, he confessed: “I don’t know, Obito. Because it’s you.”

He will think, ah, I miss him. He will try to replay the memory, but memories don’t work like video players. It escapes his grasp no matter how hard he tries to hold onto it. He will momentarily be filled with the nebulous happiness of his youth. The world was small enough then that he felt large enough to swallow the sky.

Summary
Yanqing raises his sword. His arms don't shake.
A Cloud Knight must never let slip their weapon, after all.
A burst of light. In that one infinitesimal fraction of a second between the minute particles of light and heat barrelling towards the General and back to Yanqing's irises, he sees--
The General, face melding into bark, skin peeling into fiber-
His hand loosening, guandao slipping from limp arms-
The slow drag of his gaze and the weary warmth that has never left his eyes since the day he picked Yanqing off the streets--
The General smiles, body loose in welcome of the light.
"Baba," Yanqing cries.

When my children were young, I told them stories. Nonsense tales, priceless mythos, life-old recounts of my own past. In turn they trusted me with their childhood, brought me bright specks of joy in my dreary life, injected humour and genuine love into every atom of my body with each careless gift of rocks and leaves found in our manor’s backyard.
Now I take these treasured memories to my grave, my dowry to death.

“Give it back!” He screams, begging, pleading. The Shogun tilts Her head. The spear sails weakly past her ear without even touching Her skin.
Her hand lifts towards Her chest. The hilt of an electric sword forms from holy dust under Her fingertips. Cold, brilliant fire gathers around Her in dark waves.
“No.” She says, and then the lightning arcs down in a deadly wave, striking dead-centre across his shoulders and surging down his torso like water hurtling down a cliff.
Thoma loses himself in a shriek and all-consuming static.

Summary
There is only one ivory tipped woman, and she comes down deathly calm. There is Anemo straining to keep her feet away from the grass, but the rest of her is wreathed in holy fire. A star-cloak ripples behind her like an odd mimicry of Dainsleif or Paimon. She coats her hands in waves of Hydro and sets it loose like it is only a part of her body and not a measly extension of a god given blessing. Everything else is a haphazard mix of multiple elemental reactions grouped together.
Once more, Lumine and Aether seek her out. Once more, she lets Geo light her hands. Once more, they are trapped. But not again, Aether thinks.
Lumine drives her blade through the air and all three of them fall.
