Summary
In desperation to bring Stanley back from death, Xeno commits the greatest taboo in alchemy: human transmutation. He fails to bring back his partner, leaving him to continue life on his own.
Years later, a soldier new to the military with an unnervingly familiar face is assigned under Xeno's command.

Summary
Stanley brought the cigarette to his mouth, letting it rest loosely between his lips. He flicked the lighter on and stared at the flame as the breeze caused it to faintly waver.
Bringing the flame up, he lit the cigarette and then put the lighter into his other pocket. The pungent taste hit first as the smoke began to run over his tongue. It wasn’t terrible.

“Would you like to put that hypothesis to the test? Surely you wouldn’t say such things with so much confidence without also being able to prove it.” As Xeno spoke, a mischievous grin grew on his face.
“I can.” Stanley answered without hesitation. This wasn’t the first time they had disregarded the warning at the beginning of each episode to not try the experiments at home, and it most certainly would not be the last.

Xeno and Stanley decide the best way to spend their Friday night was to test whether a Mythbusters verdict was true or not, much to Stanley's suffering.

Stray cats have become a rarity after a disease nearly wiped out the cat population; most cats now are contained as kittypets to twolegs.
Stanley, a stray who belongs to a small group that is slowly dying out, makes the his way to meet with his kittypet friend, Xeno, in order to go on their nightly adventure into the woods outside of town. -

The first week of school is always the least enjoyable time for Xeno; he finds the over excessive use of icebreakers to be a waste of time that could be used for actual learning. However, on the first day of his sixth grade English class, he finally found one icebreaker that actually challenged him.
