Something went terribly wrong.
The Culling Games were a smooth-running ritual designed to optimise cursed energy across Japan through a process of competitive elimination, an impeccable masterwork of barrier techniques, conditions, and vows meant to operate without any possible outside interference. However, on November 12th, something broke the carefully crafted laws upon laws of the Game, tearing through instructions and possibilities to bring in something new.
Multiple somethings.
On the 12th of November 2018, the balance of the world shifted for the first time since the birth of Satoru Gojo.
And it would never recover.

Summary
Kurourushi was a Special Grade cursed spirit who served as a brief antagonist during Jujutsu Kaisen’s Culling Game arc. By the time Yuta Okkotsu had appeared, it had managed to obtain, what was it, 54 points? It, despite being a curse, had been a player powerful enough to force a stalemate between itself and three top-tier reincarnated sorcerers, until Yuta had exorcised it with the power of love or some shit, only for it to come back, and get exorcised again by Ryu’s high-output Biden Blast.
A strong antagonist for sure, and despite the internet rage at the time, they personally thought the cockroach curse had made a pretty interesting fight, and had possibly one of the most dangerous cursed techniques shown by a cursed spirit in the entire manga. That said, you would never catch them wishing to be a FUCKING COCKROACH.
Funny how things played out, wasn't it.

Nanami isn't sure when Gojo leaped onto the ledge of the window but suddenly he was there, manhandling Nanami into his arms until he held him the way a groom would hold his new bride.
"I'm helping you!" Gojo exclaimed cheerfully.
"How is this helping me?" Nanami said struggling to settle in Gojo's arms. He didn't want to hold onto him, but he was also afraid of falling.
"If you don't jump, I'll just throw you!"
Gojo Satoru is locked away in the Prison Realm and now humanity is in danger. A resurrected Nanami Kento takes it upon himself to go into the prison realm and bring Gojo back. Unfortunately, Gojo doesn't want to come back. During their trials before and after, they fall in love.
