Summary
After leaving home at eighteen, Zhou Zishu has had nothing to do with his parents' humble fruit farm, choosing instead to work for his LA cousin, a rising politician with ties to the underworld. Zishu believed he'd found his calling as an assassin - a character assassin, who holds the lives of his cousin's enemies in the lens of his camera. Zishu doesn't believe anything could ever draw him back to his childhood home for good. But his father's sudden death, coupled with the death of his own young LA protege, bring Zishu up hard against the meaninglessness of his life.
He packs a bag and heads back to Washington, planning to sell the farm and then disappear. But while he might have spent the past fifteen years trying to forget his past, the people of that past have been keeping tabs on him. He arrives in the little dirt-road town of Crossroads to find that he's been very much missed, and that leaving again might not be as simple as he thought. Particularly when he meets the beautiful and mysterious drifter, Wen Kexing, who seems just a little too good to be true.
But then, so does Zishu.

Summary

Summary
One rainy night, an Alpha medical student, Gong Jun, came across a wounded man collapsing in a dark alley on his way back home. He recognized this unknown man as an Omega, and he also discovered that there were people in the vicinity desperately searching for this Omega, bearing an obvious ill will. Afraid that those people might find them, Gong Jun decided to bring the man home with him and tended to his wounds.
However, the man disappeared the next morning. Several days later, he showed up without notice at the pet cafe where Gong Jun was working part-time, introducing himself as Zhang Zhehan and expressing his wish to thank the younger man in person.
Little did Gong Jun know, that this seemingly refined and gentle Omega was hiding a dark secret behind his tender smile.

He kicks a bottle cap that someone has carelessly discarded only a few meters from the public rubbish bin, and watches it bounce haphazardly over the pavement until it rolls in through an open glass door to a vintage looking bookstore. Why is a bookstore open this late on a Friday anyway? Who in their right mind spends their Friday evening here?
To answer his silent questions, a male voice filters out through the opening and Wen Ke Xing stops dead in his tracks. Not because of the voice, even though it is a smoky, velvety, kind of voice, but because of the words. He recognizes those words. They are words he has read many times over. In fact, if he continues to walk home to his penthouse, he knows exactly where that book would be, nestled amongst hundreds of others that he has collected over the years. That specific book would be the one with the scuffed edges, earmarked pages, and even highlighted sections. It’s also the book that is written by him.

To put it all simply, Wen Kexing would say the man was ethereal, as if he had been dropped down from the heavens above. He was indescribably pretty but also dashingly handsome with a daring glint in his eyes. He was interesting.
Wen Kexing smiled, wide enough that his eyes nearly squinted shut. He looked a lot like a sly fox, the curve of his lips cunning and dangerous.
"I would never forget such a beautiful face," Wen Kexing simply told him – and it was true.
A few seconds passed where the stranger simply stared at Wen Kexing, bewilderment in his gaze, but then he scoffed with a bright smile on his lips. "I have caught the great Valley Master's eye, how lucky I am."
So, the man did know who he was after all.
Wen Kexing didn't want to brag but, "Indeed, how lucky you are."

The frost pricks at his heart when Gong Jun isn’t looking back at him, instead looking past him. Gong Jun’s eyes seem to widen, an expression of confusion and then horror flashes subtly across his face before settling into something professional. Zhang Zhe Han can’t help but turn around.
It actually takes his brain more than a few seconds to register the three huge video cameras that are aimed at them, definitely live film crews. And right at the centre of them is He Jiong with a wide smile on his lips. He Jiong is holding a microphone in his right hand, a heart-shaped logo attached at the centre.
Two of the camera crews fan out, one towards Gong Jun and one next to him. He Jiong takes a few steps forwards and speaks into the mic, “Zhang Zhe Han! Gong Jun! Congratulations! You have been nominated to join this season of Racing down the aisle!”
