And that judge with the all seeing eyes and unforgiving tone sits back, a brow raised, in disappointment or surprise, Gunil cannot tell for the life of him. “You changed some parts.” Gunil’s heart drops to his stomach. Shit. He’d forgotten he’d done that, tweaked and edited some of the parts to fit what he liked best. His whole body goes cold as he realizes he’s just fucked up the best opportunity he’ll probably ever get the chance at. “I think this audition is over. Next.”

He wants his parents to be proud of him, he wants to ski again, he wants his friendships to last forever, he wants to fall in love. His dreams are large and his appetite is larger still.

Summary
Gunil takes a deep breath. Maybe letting his friends think he’s dating someone isn’t the worst idea in the world. Just for a little while, to get them off his back. It would, at the very least, give him a break from their matchmaking efforts. He can lay low about it, say it’s not super serious, and then let it fade away into an imaginary, amicable breakup.
