    Denki watched him. “Do you swab oral often?”

    Done with the preparation, Nurse Angel- Shinsou turned back around and stared at him.

    Denki had expected his own mother to cry first, followed by his sister or father, and maybe Ashido, Midoriya or Kirishima a few rows away, but it was none of them. They were quick to follow, of course, but when Hitoshi let out a massive gasp and pushed his face into both of his hands, everything seemed to stop. Everyone’s attention was on Hitoshi, not the priest reciting sutras at the front.

    Denki had never seen Hitoshi cry before.

    “A gift,” Hitoshi repeats aloud as he goes to meet his boyfriend in the genkan. “Does this gift have to do with the unusual three am traf-,” Hitoshi gets to the doorway connecting the genkan to the kitchen and stops talking as his gaze lands on a bundle of fur in Denki’s arms.

    Denki beams at him with a blinding smile, “Happy late birthday lover!” His boyfriend holds out the bundle of chocolate fur, green eyes blinking at him.

    ‘Mew!’ The kitten cries while wiggling to try and get out of Denki’s hands.

    “Even if Zuku does get him there, the second he sees me, he’ll either run away or ignore me, like I need to do a romantic gesture or something to get his attention!” Denki sighs, head falling back on the couch.

    “I don't know, aren't you like an emo? Wip out your guitar and serenade him or something,” Sero shrugs his shoulders, and Mina barks out a laugh.

    “Well, there is a stage at the bar, you could…I don't know, sing him a song? That’ll get his attention,” Jirou says.

    “Yeah, he did always like it when you would sing,” Mina said.

    A year after breaking up with no contact, Denki and Hitoshi are forced to team up on a mission. They both still know they have feelings for each other, but Hitoshi doesn't give Denki time to explain himself. So, it's time to pull out the big guns: Denki singing Shinsou a heartbreak rock song to hopefully win his heart back.
