However there is one solution to stabilise his fragile core and allow him to continue cultivating; regular dual cultivation with his Shidi Luo Binghe.
But while this method of cultivation is able to help Shen Qingqiu, it brings many other problems. Especially emotional ones. -

The kid blinked at him, both hands still wrapped around the cup he’d almost sent flying. He turned to look around himself, as if trying to identify who Derek was speaking to, before realizing that he was, in fact, speaking to him.
“Are you talking to me?” he asked, as if needing it confirmed.
“I sure am.” Derek crossed his arms, going for disappointed as opposed to authoritative. Some of the little shits got all rebellious when he started acting authoritative and he didn’t want to have fists flying. It was always really awkward slapping handcuffs on minors for assault and calling their parents.
The kid gave him an unimpressed look, then rolled his eyes. “Haha, hilarious.”

It was a fire burning him alive from the inside out and Derek’s fingers were the ice cooling him down with each touch. Derek had felt it too, had growled in his ear about all the things he was going to do to him, how his body was made for Derek and only Derek. He makes it to his driveway before he finally lets the tears fall. Sobs wreck his body, and he just lets it out, knowing he’s out of earshot of any nosy wolves. The crying doesn’t help the pain in his body, but it brings a whole new type of pain, the ache in his heart sharp and heavy.
