She wasn’t frightened. Not even curious, really. Aware. And perfectly still.
He leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table. Mid-sip, he asked:
“Why is a raven like a writing desk?”
Alice blinked once. Then her eyebrow raised.
“Is this the part where you expect me to figure out riddles that have no answers?”
Hatter smiled—not kindly, not cruelly. Intrigued. “No, no. You’re meant to try anyway. That’s the point of trying.”
She didn’t answer. He hadn’t expected her to. But she didn’t scoff, either.
Interesting.

Mettaton and Tenna find themselves in the same limousine, where their first meeting takes a sharp left turn as they find themselves caught dead in the middle of an assassination attempt.

Somewhat post-canon somewhat canon-divergent ATSV in which the Spot was captured during his manic episode by the spider society who is still in pursuit of capturing Miles. This will be eventual bagelbites but as mentioned in the tags I'm not gonna put the main ship tag until they actually start interacting. Dunno how many chapters this'll wind up being but I'm hoping to be done writing by early-mid January.
