The stone floor pressed cold against Henry’s knees, its chill seeping upward until his whole body felt tethered to the chamber itself. The blindfold drew tight across his temples, shutting out the world, sharpening every other sense. He could hear the faint crackle of the hearth, the occasional drip of water somewhere outside, each sound magnified in the silence.
Henry wishes for nothing more than to serve his Lord and do anything he's ordered to, no matter how impossible it might be. That suits Hans just fine.
