Summary
At eighteen Obi-Wan's life was going pretty well. Sure he had a massive crush on his master who refuses to see him as anything more than "his young padawan" but for the most part things are good and they have a balance.
Until, because he can not just catch a break, things are very not ok. His entire world is up on its head and balance is light systems away.
This is a Ep 1 fix it set two years before. Shit is about to hit the fan and shake what it means to be a Jedi and a Sith.

“Where are you going?”
“To the arena, Hollander. We are playing a game in three hours.”
“That’s tomorrow, Rozanov,” Hollander says, smirking like Ilya might be fucking with him and he wants to make sure he’s in on the joke. He looks behind and around him. “Um, can I come inside?”
“Hollander, we have game today. You were here yesterday.”
Hollander is striding toward his kitchen, looking over his shoulder at Ilya like he’s getting tired of the joke. “Very funny. I was in Montreal yesterday, Rozanov.”
“Hollander.” Ilya goes to stand in front of him. Hollander’s eyes flicker up and down his body the way that Ilya usually craves, but is rather unwelcome right now. “Today is Thursday. Game is today. Yesterday, you came to my house. We ate tuna melts, watched Buffalo game. Then, you left.”
“Rozanov, it’s Wednesday morning. And I’ve never been to your house before.”
“Hollander…”
“Look at your phone if you don’t believe me.”
Ilya snorts like a bull and pulls his phone out of his pocket, swipes down on the screen to look at the date.
Wednesday, November 9th.

Summary
After their time at the cottage, life should feel like bliss; finally after so long, Shane and Ilya have confessed their feelings to each other and are officially in a relationship (albeit secretly). But when Ilya starts experiencing symptoms he would rather ignore, tensions in their relationship rise as Shane refuses to let him brush it off. The uncertainty and worry that follows forces them to navigate the reality of their mortality, and the fear of losing what they've only just begun to build.

Ilya frowned. "What?"
Shane swallowed. "I think she knows."
Ilya stepped closer, confusion giving way to curiosity. "Knows what?"
Shane hesitated before placing one hand lightly over the spot where Anya's head rested. Over his stomach. Over the place where— Something, someone, was beginning.
His voice softened. "I think she can tell there's a baby."
Or Anya is Shane’s Rock throughout his pregnancy and absolutely adores their baby once she arrives.
