Summary
All’s well with Heaven following Aziraphale’s successful attempt to commit celestial benefit fraud, but there are infernal rumblings afoot in Soho, and not just because Crowley’s been eating cheese again. When Crowley bumps into an old flame in Sainsbury’s he discovers that all is not well in Hell, and that his name is still on so many various demonic shitlists that in the end he might have no recourse but to throw himself on the mercy of Satan himself.
And Satan’s not exactly known for his mercy.

Summary
Fingers entwined with Crowley’s and fair eyelashes catching the soft, chandelier light of the Ritz dining room, Aziraphale leans forward and says, smug as all get out, “We can be us now, just as you wanted. In every way.”Crowley doesn’t know what that means. Privately, he hopes it includes more prolonged hand-holding. Maybe they could try for a better kiss this time. All the sinful self-congratulation looks good on Aziraphale, though, so Crowley smiles right back at him and says, “Can’t wait.”
Aziraphale assumes they’ve been taking the physical side of things slow by mutual, undiscussed agreement. Crowley doesn’t realize sex is on the table. He may not even be in the same universe as the table.

Summary
“Honestly? I say lean into it.” Anathema leaned forward, twirling her straw around in her iced latte. "Who knows. Sometimes stuff is just weird or inexplicable. Ineffable! Like you said. If it really is that out of the ordinary, there's gotta be a reason, right?"
"Hey, maybe the two of you knew each other in a past life or something," Newt said blithely, his eyes once again glued to the page in front of him, red pen to paper, scratching down notes in his nigh illegible shorthand. Anthony had always wondered how his students managed to decipher it. He scoffed.
"Ha ha," he uttered dryly, reaching back into his messenger bag to finally pull out the stack of neglected exams. "Come on, Newt, I'm a scientist. You know I don't believe in any of that stuff."
Newt looked up from his work a final time, staring at Anthony in a manner that made him feel strangely exposed.
"Doesn't mean you can't be wrong, mate."
