So maybe it was just that Dunk was, at the end of the day, always still Dunk, and no amount of lessons and familiarity could change that. It wasn't fair, that the Gods would see fit to give Baelor a loving brother and a loving husband and then make the two of them mismatched as day and night.
Maekar tries to run, Dunk agonises, and then Baelor gets to have his cake and eat it too.
