The gems buried under the earth are like billions of stars that never shine.
Whilst Andrew might enjoy the idea of no longer needing to deal with the stuffy crosswalks, packed trains, and vicious habitants, he would much rather live there than on a ghastly eyeball. Metropolis had been entirely eradicated, only housing mutant tentacles that destroyed most of the towering skyscrapers and tore apart half of the city.

Summary
Cirque Belga is the most popular spot for the citizens and nobles of Middelport to enjoy their night. Their cast includes an acrobat, an animal tamer, a contortionist, amazing background music and a lot of illegal activities dealt under the table without the local law enforcement knowing a thing.
This of course attracts a lot of attention from the underworld, making them the most desirable business partners for many different syndicates. One of them is the noble crime family Campbell, who just earned the rights to exclusively partner with the circus.
But for how long can they keep the rights to themselves?

Mike is a traveling acrobat accompanied by his team of social outcasts who help him keep his life together just a lil bit. His current job is in Las Vegas for a special performance with the Cirque du Soleil.
Norton is a sad ahh gambler who lives in Las Vegas. He has nobody to help him keep his depressive life together. Maybe a similarly sad lesbian who likes to make fun of his worthlessness, but thats about it.

Mike Morton thought his job would be easy. Just attend the race, get information about the unnatural anomalies and the Cthulhu technology, then drive home with payment in his pocket. What he did not expect that he will be stuck in a time loop, forced to revisit the same race until someone finally crosses the finish line. If everyone dies or the finish line is crossed by a monster, time resets and they are back at the morning of the race with no memories of the previous loop. The rules seemed to be clear and logical...
However, he wouldn't be Mike Morton if he followed the rules set by someone else.
