“Uh,” Jay, no longer quite as worried about Matt going crazy and attacking him now that he’s managed to be normal—in the loosest sense of the word—for a relatively extended period of time, turns to examine the book that's been left sitting on the piano. “I mean—f█k, I guess?”
“Oh my God,” Matt groans. “Y’know, this really—... it’s really just so evident of a wolf bias in the media, right? Like, why’s it always gotta be a wolf?” As his thoughts build on top of each other, he lets out a breathy laugh. “You know what’d be badass? A fox. A werefox. Now that would be… that'd really be something.”

Summary
There’s also a few things that Matt already knows. Exhibit A: Jay’s not a sparkly, eternal teen attending high school forever for whatever creepy pervert reason; his human blood keeps him aging mostly normally. Which is just fine by Matt, because it means Matt can take Jay with him towards their shared future without too much trouble. It’s perfect, actually.
“Is it weird to call it your ‘human blood?’” Matt asks, idly tapping at the whiteboard with his marker. “Does that sound eugenics-y to you?”
“What?” At the piano, Jay’s playing stops.
“Like–... like, ‘you’ve ruined our honourable and ancient vampire lineage with your tainted human blood! You little fuckin’—... half-breed freak piece of shit!’ Doesn’t that sound like something vampire Nazis would say?”

“Yer life’s mine to take,” Majima says, in a voice that crackles and hisses like it’s being spoken through an old radio. A wicked grin splits across his face as he angles closer, pupil morphing into a slit. “If you’re in such a hurry to die, I’ll save us both the trouble and just collect my dues now.”
Kiryu grunts, feels Majima press down harder, feels hot breath against his face as he leans in, his limbs bent impossibly to allow for the proximity. “Yours to take?” Kiryu asks through gritted teeth. “And when did you decide this?”
Majima cackles, makes a piercing and high-pitched sound that echoes into the night. “Wouldya believe me if I said ‘just now’?”

Maybe he’s had one foot in the grave this whole time, a coffin waiting for him with only one possible destination. A tomb already licked by hellfire. No blank tickets. For a second, when Wolfwood finds himself feeling particularly vindictive—particularly cruel—he considers waking her up for the assassination first, because if he has to be conscious for this—if he has to know what’s to come—it’s only fair that she knows, too.
But that’s a childishly petty train of thought—because it's so like a child to be obsessed with some semblance of fairness—and it's a stupid thought, too, so Wolfwood shoots her twice in the heart and once in the head, and she gets to pass away into the night without a word.
And Wolfwood is jealous.

Summary
He had looked into catching a Cyclizar, but after a dozen failed Quick Balls and used-up Poke Dolls, he gave up. Cyclizars remind him too much of the brute, anyway, and it’d all just leave a sour taste in his mouth. Catching any Pokemon would, really. It’d feel too much like finding a replacement.
Still, Arven figures he shouldn’t be letting sentiments and feelings like that get in his way. If he wants to heal Mabosstiff, and he will, he’ll need another Pokemon before long. He can’t keep denying it.
