For most shinobi the evals were at best an afternoon off, at worse answering some awkward questions. The results were filed in top secret folders and collected dust for years.
Itachi's would be different. He would receive scrutiny. He would be tested over and over again whether he was skilled and mature enough to fulfill his role. Lord Third himself would look over Kakashi’s report, and hopefully pore over every detail.
“Let’s start,” Kakashi drawled because he had no intention of prolonging this.
Or: the psych evaluation required for getting into ANBU reveals a lot more about Itachi than Kakashi expected it to.
