Her coy provocation is cut off abruptly as he tugs her towards him and dips his head down, hot mouth slotting against hers to capture her lips. He kisses her hungrily, a man starved, swallowing her gasp of surprise, flesh hand tenderly but firmly cupping her cheek while his vibranium arm hooks around her waist to pull her flush against him.
Bucky has long abandoned any semblance of self-control, his restraint having snapped long ago with the broken champagne flute from the moment he saw that mongrel touch her.
There is just her and him, and this.
And that’s all that matters.

For a split second, she wonders what it would be like to just let it all go — to just close her eyes and take a step off the ledge, world tipping off its axis like it has a hundred times before, and only this time, let herself succumb entirely to the embrace of gravity.
To just let herself fall.
Weightless and untethered.
Maybe she would finally be released from the crushing heaviness of everything she carried, shedding the burdens that plagued her every waking thought. Maybe she would finally be able to breathe with ease, no longer constantly looking over her shoulder and waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Maybe, for a second, she could even become a comet shooting through the night sky and, just this once, burn just as bright.
Yelena doesn’t get to deliberate on the morose thoughts about her feet leaving the solid structure beneath her before they do.
Just not in any way she would expect.
The world lurches around her as she tumbles back, yanked almost violently from her perch on the railing. She has no time to react, her back colliding with a solid wall of muscle, while a vice grip around her torso hoists her frame like a ragdoll.

“Hm? You really need to speak up , sweetheart ~” Asmodeus’ honeyed voice gently chides you, a small laugh bubbling from his throat, “Good girls know better than to mumble, after all…”
He trails off into silence and before you can utter a word, your head is roughly yanked back off the pillow, throat bared and back arched as a perfectly manicured hand tugs on your scalp, making you yelp, “ You’re my good girl, right? ”
