Summary
Careful was not a word that Jackson ever associated with his partner; the man wore recklessness like he wore his garishly colored suits. He might show tact and finesse with clients but he barged into conversations with non-paying entities with the grace of a coked-out bull in an underinsured china shop. If he was measuring his words, something was deeply serious to him. The answer meant something to Holland, which meant Jackson couldn’t just ignore it and try to drift back off to sleep.
“Yeah, yeah.” Jackson grunted, voice rasping. He coughed, rolling over to face Holland after a moment. “What’d you mean?”
“Does it bother you,” Holland repeated in a slower voice, as if that would clear everything up.
It didn’t.
--Jackson would be content to either admire his partner or go to sleep, but he cannot seem to do either. Holland is bound and determined to put some doubts to rest. Too bad he can't seem to tell Jackson what they are.

“It’s exhausting,” March nods, and allows himself to be hauled to his feet. They’re standing near enough that their chests brush, and March sways toward Jackson a little when he’s vertical, wobbly with fatigue. “And it hurts.”
Jackson snorts. “Well, I know how to throw a punch without nearly breaking my goddamn hand, for one thing.”

It was something that Holland March hadn't had to worry about for a long time; the only times sex had been on the table in the past few years, given his marital situation - or lack thereof - had been after nights out on the town, once Holly had a designated place to stay. It had worked pretty well. She had only come home to barely-dressed men and women in the kitchen a couple of times. Overall, he considered that a solid win.
Of course, Healy had screwed that up completely. Suddenly sex had been a very possible and very desirable option. Therefore, action needed to be taken to ensure that they could get their hands, mouths and whatever else on each other as often as possible.

You ever see a fly endlessly bumping against a window so you open the window to let it out instead of just getting the swatter like usual. And it's all just on a whim?
So, anyway, Simon somehow finds himself floating in space after screaming at a giant eye in an endless red void.
Grace and Rocky are on the way to Erid when they come across an iron submarine with a dead eel monster hanging off the end.
Simon gets to heal, Grace gets to interact with another human again, and Rocky gets to watch the incredibly awkward courtship rituals of these two disasters (affectionate).
