He quickly scans the last paragraph of the biometrics report he was reading, sure he must’ve swapped whatever words Rocky just uttered with some sentence on plant cell bodies. His friend just makes a clicking sound in his throat and leans closer, since Grace is clearly hard of hearing.
“See Grace’s body, yes,” Rocky spoke with factual precision, like this wasn’t something wild to spring on a guy alone… in his dormitory… on his bed, where the both of them were currently lounging.
“Rocky want to see how Human body different from Eridani.”

“You ask so many damn questions, I want you to know that,” Sebastian scoffs, angling away from the other man.
“You ask them, then,” Jacob says. He’s utterly rooted in place by how the sharp lighting makes Sebastian’s eyes a blue so clear he could drink from them, his hair being cast into the brilliant golden glow.
“Alright,” Sebastian hums, fingers tapping the neck of his cocktail glass. “Are you trying to take me home?”
Jacob is struck speechless for a moment. He hadn’t expected to be called out for his intentions so brazenly, used to playing cat and mouse with those he was trying to court.
“Yeah,” he says, having to swallow dryly to get the words to come out. “Yeah, I am.”

i live for the smut on chapter 1 jesus christ. nothing has ever gotten me like this i don’t think. it’s sebastian’s attitude and jacob fucking it right out of it. this has awakened something in me. the rest is honestly not great and the tense being inconsistent as hell bugs me to no end, but i do not wanna lose this first chapter.

“Oh my god, Keeeith,” Lance wheezed. “Keith you’re the best drunk space cadet I’ve ever seen.”
“Space cadet,” Keith mumbled. He repeated the words again although his eyes had zeroed in on Lance’s hands and Lance offered no resistance when Keith picked one of them up and pulled it possessively towards his lap. He began to gently trace over Lance’s fingers, sending shivers up Lance’s arm and down his spine. “You have looong fingers,” Keith murmured after a few moments.
Keith’s face perked up then, as if he’d just had a brilliant idea, and Lance could almost not wait to hear what new obscure thought had entered Keith’s pretty head. He was prepared to laugh, and instead found himself shivering again as Keith leaned far into his personal bubble, lips practically touching Lance’s ear when he spoke next.
“I bet you could reach all kinds of things, Lance.”

never read a fic with embedded fan art before, this was so fun! i love when authors explore galra keith but the permanent kitten ears were a bit much for me icl. still really sweet though (if a bit mushy in the end).
