“What the fuck was that?” Magnus asks with exhausted eyes and annoyance dripping through his shaking hands in waves, resting his weight on his left foot. He's close to the bed, not enough, but close; maybe Hikaru can manage to distract him by pushing him onto the mattress and climbing over until his kisses stop Magnus from opening his mouth again. Maybe.
“W-What? What do you—?” Hikaru hides his hands in his jeans pockets, shoulders rising on instinct, and feels suddenly aware of the coldness of the ceramic floor even through his socks, “What?”
With an irritated huff and unable to bear any of Hikaru’s words or presence despite the fact that he's been the one looking for him, Magnus gives him an over-exaggerated shrug. “I mean— Dennis, really? I could excuse Alireza, maybe. But Dennis? Come on, Hikaru. You’re much better than that; you and I know that.”
