" When Verso managed to warm Gustave up enough and made much more exploratory contact, Gustave came out of his shell and became much more vocal.
As if a dam had burst, he let it all out: Ahs and Ohs… A few muffled and restrained vowels… Verso's name cheered like a religious delight… And of course, colourful swear words worthy of his native frenchness: Fuck! Holy shit! Fucking bastard ! Holy fucking shit...
Verso enjoyed his lover's vocabulary and delighted in hearing him lose his composure, but he delighted even more in what he considered to be the ultimate, the clear indicator that Gustave had reached seventh heaven.
The silence. Stillness.
When Gustave can only whimper softly like a puppy in need of attention. His body limp, his muscles twitching occasionally when Verso touches a particularly sensitive spot. "
Or : Gustave is loud in bed. Verso sets him a challenge: to remain as quiet as possible for a set amount of time. The loser must grant the winner's wish. It's as simple as that.

A story about taking it slower - and all the things you wish you’d said sooner.

“Of course, you are more than welcome here, for as long as you’d like.” is Emma’s instant and smooth reply, delivered with an effortless aplomb that is well-suited to her Chief Councilor role; there’s no hiding the sharpness of her eyes, however, that intelligent glint that speaks of veiled suspicion and careful calculations. “Any friend of Maelle is a friend of ours.”
As expected, Maelle is more than ecstatic by Emma’s easy acceptance, but her mood quickly plummets when she spots Gustave’s less-than-thrilled expression: if looks could kill, Verso is pretty sure he would be lying in a pool of his own blood by now, but after some uncomfortable staring the man just scoffs and looks quickly on the side, cheeks flushed by what Verso can only presume is a good dose of barely repressed anger. “...Sure, whatever. If that’s what Maelle wants.”
(After making a promise to each other at the Canvas' edge, Maelle restores Lumiére to its former splendor, and Verso tries to live his life in it as simply and unobtrusively as possible.
Too bad that Gustave absolutely hates Verso's guts, and Verso's blossoming feelings for Gustave are of a complete opposite nature.)

Post-game. Verso's POV. Gustave is brought back but struggles with resentment and confusion over what's really going on. Nice crunchy dynamic between the pair of them, and a nice dose of Verso simping over Gustave (as he should)
