A few pickpockets, Tsuna imagines he’d be kind of okay against.
Some kind of giant, furry, monstrosity stares Tsuna down, holding Tsuna between its hulking, sparking body and the station wall. This is maybe three hundred levels above “small pickpocket.” Hand slapping techniques just don’t cover this kind of thing.
In mafia hub Neo Venice, when people die, they come back as monsters. Tsuna, new Chiavarone/Cavallone door greeter, really doesn’t need that kind of complication in his life. Of course it doesn’t help matters that his first friend in the city is also a policeman. As the miasma surrounding Neo Venice grows thicker, the mystery behind the death of Tsuna’s father starts coming to light as well, and that’s definitely something Tsuna could live without.

News of Iemitsu's death brings Tsuna to Neo Venice where the ghost of his father dogs his every step, Neo Venice where the Mafia and the police share a complicated past and too often death is only the beginning.
from my review of chapter 4:
"This is one of the most engrossing AUs I've seen, regardless of fandom. Thank you for reminding me of why I fell in love with Tsuna--that boundless capacity for kindness, and the equally endless strength he draws from that same source; never knowing what exactly he's up against, only that he must do what he cannot bear not to do. The rest of the cast is equally compelling, with surprises and secrets and conflicts of their own. I'm not ashamed to admit that I teared up a little when Gokudera revealed himself to protect Tsuna. I'd love to get a side-story of the events from Gokudera's perspective, from the moment he ambushed Tsuna leading up to the moment when Tsuna looked up and recognized him, but frankly I'd be overjoyed with any more scraps from this universe regardless of the subject or character. ♥" -

gorgeous and tender and solid, somehow--stable, maybe; in which Wade hides from SHIELD calls in Peter calls in Wade, and alien invasions aside it's all about the two of them, really, Peter and Wade and the sum of them together, small and sweet and devastating, like a kiss pressed thoughtlessly underneath the jaw.
