According to Council records, the Fulgur Ovium Zedaph Pleighs and his two co-workers - the Ignis Petra Tango of the Tek Clan and the Inferni ImpulseSV - are officially called Sapience Outreach Specialists. They jokingly refer to themselves though as the First Contact Crew. It’s up to them to determine the sentience and sapience of alien races that either volunteer or are brought to them by the Council.
And recently the Council has brought them one hell of a challenge: determine the sentience and sapience of a recently discovered species called Terrans using an individual that they nickname Blue.Meanwhile Skizz just wants to be treated like a person by the aliens that abducted him and go back to Earth…

“Dippledop,” Skizz finally says, and Impulse lets his hand fall as his buddy begins to turn towards him. His heart clenches at the bittersweet look on Skizz’s face. His tired eyes. The tears welling in them. “I’m gonna need you to trust me on this, okay? No… no back talk or nothin’! Just… just hear me out.”
“And just— just hear me out!” Impulse is quick to add, interrupting a Skizz who never even thought to interrupt him. “I have a plan and it’s gonna sound a little crazy, but you… you just have to trust me, Skizz. Please.”

Summary
After having a task that has Mumbo running away from all one-on-one conversation, Mumbo's social anxiety rears its ugly head. The idea of being around anyone has him panicking. It doesn't help that he, along with the rest of the Mounders, are regressed and need a caregiver. It doesn't help that all four of them are in a small space and everything is really chaotic. If he makes a scene at any of it, he'll only draw further attention to himself.
So Mumbo does what he does best and leaves for his base, swept away by his emotions.

No I am not hyperfocusing on a minecraft torch item Tango talked to for ONE episode for a task, and no I am not projecting. Definitely not.
Anyways, this may just stay a oneshot but I do have plans for mini add-ons with scenes from Tango and Torchy meeting on Secret Life, other Hermits meeting torchy on Hermitcraft, and overall little bits of things. But it may not happen (*hides the four other chapters I have planned already involving more Torchy and Hermit interactions behind my back*)

This wasn’t right. Something was scaring Tango, and Jimmy couldn’t let it go because his soulmate was hurting. Standing, Jimmy made his way over to Tango at a slow pace, holding his gaze in a way he hoped was gentle and kind. Tango looked up at him when Jimmy arrived before him, crimson eyes anxiously bright. Slowly, not wanting to cause the netherborn any more distress, Jimmy gently cupped his soulmate’s face in his hands, feeling the distressed heat coming from his hair and skin.
“Tango,” Jimmy asked softly, “Why don’t you want me to see your hands? Is it because of scarring? You should know I don’t have a problem with that - we literally are friends with a man who is covered in scars.”
Tango stared at him, stiff, clearly debating with himself on what he should say. After a moment of silence, the blazeborn whimpered out, “It’s not safe.”
And Jimmy understood.OR,
Tango always wears gloves. Jimmy wonders why, until he doesn’t.

Scar is eccentric, yes, and there's clearly more underneath the surface, but Impulse has never been quick to judge, and for the time being, Scar is a nice distraction. Impulse is just what Scar is looking for.
