“I’ll buy you time to get away. I’ll find you at the next spot.” Rhaenyra’s voice cracks with the weight of her lie. She wipes tears from her eyes, stands up straighter, tries to believe it the next time. Alicent can’t be sure if she sees belief in her beautiful lavender eyes, but there is an unmistakable fury. “I’ll find you. Go!”

Summary
Alicent’s throat goes dry as Rhaenyra’s ice cold fingers gently tuck her red curls behind her ear, leaving her right cheek exposed to the air. Then, her fingers trail down the side of Alicent’s face and further down, where she pushes Alicent’s hair back and reaches around to pull it all to her opposite shoulder.
She brings her hand up again. Despite how cold her hands are, there’s a fire in Alicent’s gut as Rhaenyra traces her fingers down the side of Alicent’s throat.
“You should wear your hair like this more often,” Rhaenyra whispers, making goosebumps rise along Alicent’s arms. “You have a lovely profile.”
Alicent is a lecturer at an unremarkable university, with few friends and even fewer romantic prospects. However, she quickly finds a friend in the newest addition to the faculty: the pale, beautiful, and somewhat strange Rhaenyra Targaryen. While a series of strange animal attacks starts taking out several of Alicent's colleagues, she finds herself focused on a far more personal battle. The struggle between the life she's supposed to lead, and what, or rather who, her subconscious desires.
