Summary
Nova was made for a life she never chose.
Measured, corrected, and polished into something acceptable, she learned early that perfection was just another word for obedience. Then she fell from the Sphere and landed in the one place where none of that mattered.
The Ground is brutal. The Cleaners are worse or they should be.
Instead, Nova finds herself among people who do not flinch from her sharp edges, even when her awakening Vital Instruments become harder to control and harder to explain.
Enjin should keep his distance. She is from the world that threw his away.
Nova should know better than to trust him. He sees too much.
But neither of them seems willing to do what they should.And somewhere above them, the Sphere has started looking down.
