Summary
His job really was not as interesting as it sounded. There were no cool car chases, there were no shoot-outs, there was no tackling or carrying attractive people out of trouble, bridal style. There was mainly just a lot of waiting, and planning routes.
Jotaro hated being a bodyguard. His job was only worsened by the fact he didn't have much choice on who he was set up with for close quarter protection. He did not enjoy most of his clientele, that was for definite.
Except, maybe Jotaro likes being a bodyguard a little bit, especially when he's left doing twenty-four hour protection on the most intriguing man he has ever met. Kakyoin. Jotaro supposes he can stomach it for a couple weeks, just to uncover the mysteries of Noriaki Kakyoin.
After all, not very much happens in his line of work. Not in real life. Or so he thought.

Summary
During a particularly disastrous day of school Jotaro meets a new transfer student by the name of Kakyoin, who stands out to him: he's weirdly nice to him, clearly not having gotten word of Jotaro's reputation yet. Unfortunately, it seems Kakyoin has been getting involved with a dangerous gang of delinquents at school, and Jotaro decides to do something good for once in his life and try to get him out before it's too late.

Kakyoin had to transfer schools after moving to a new city, and his first day went about as well as it always does: he tried to make friends, failed, and resigned himself to a seat in the background. That was, until a kind group of students invited him over and took him in as one of their own, giving him the opportunity to experience a real friendship. Something feels... off about them, though he doesn't think he's in any position to judge. After all, these are just harmless pranks, right?

Noriaki Kakyoin doesn't have a soulmate. He's never had a shared dream, never had someone else's thoughts in his head, and his skin is free of any soulmate-identifying marks. He's just accepted that he's destined to be alone, unlovable and unwanted. At least, that's what he's told himself until a star shaped mark appears on his ribs.
Jotaro Kujo will never find his soulmate. How could he? All he has to go off of is a green diamond shape that appeared on his ribs one day. He doesn't even remember if he met anyone special that day. He'll just have to go with the flow of life, he supposes, since he's apparently already met his soulmate and didn’t realize. Meanwhile, his crush on YouTube celebrity Kakyoin Noriaki keeps growing. If only he could know what his soulmark was.
The soulmate au I needed to write because you gotta be the change you wish to see in the world or whatever and I really wish to see more soulmate au fics in this fandom.
