    Reiner Braun was raised to be full of contradictions. His mother raised him to trust everybody, and the military raised him to trust nobody. He was bright and knew many useful skills in life, like budgeting and sewing, but also only knew useless skills in life, like budgeting and sewing. The only thing his upbringing could agree on was that the government was good, God was good, and Eldians were bad, unfortunately his experiences seemed to contradict even that simple doctrine.

    Now, fresh out of training and only 9 years old he has to fight in a war he doesn’t understand, and somehow maintain his sanity when everyday life seems to pull him in a new direction.
