Coming back from Martinaise was good. There was renewed excitement for the task force. Harry was sober and motivated and joined at the hip with Kitsuragi.
The precinct hummed with hope.
Kim, upon joining the 41st, clocked right away the longing in Vicquemare's pale eyes every time Du Bois entered the room he was in.
Harry never looked at him twice.
