"You want to go out with me?"
Hayato had gulped and looked away. "Is that a 'no'?"
"No, I'm just..." Jun still was struggling to believe this wasn't a strange joke or an even stranger dream. "Confused. You seriously want to date me? I'm not exactly... romantic." Surely it had to be a misunderstanding.
"I do! I mean it Jun! I like you!" Hayato had grabbed his hands and stared very earnestly into Jun's eyes. "If you don't want to I'll never bring it up again, I promise! But I'm being serious! I want to date you!"
Jun hadn't been able to think of a reason not to. Maybe he was even a little curious. After a long pause he had shrugged and said "Okay." He was half expecting Hayato to then admit it was a joke, and when that didn't happen he expected Hayato to realize his mistake after a few days, maybe a week.
That did not happen.
After a month, Jun has accepted it was neither a joke nor a mistake. Hayato is his boyfriend, and he... he's happy with that.Series

His voice was a smooth baritone that always seemed to vibrate in Tighnari’s chest. The presence of Cyno's hand, relaxed yet firm against his waist, was enough to disarm any of the botanist’s defenses, bringing back a heat that turned into shivers in an instant.
“It’s idiocy."
Everything was fine, as long as Tighnari kept Cyno away from that new friend of his.
