“You don’t have to be with me here, you know,” Zelda said. The breeze over Hyrule field was hitting her bare shoulders. She tried not to shiver. She knew Link would offer her his shirt or his cloak if she did. She didn’t want that— she’d already taken so much from him.
Link snorted, crouching by the fire. “Where else would I be?” he said, his tone amused, almost like he was humoring her.
“I don’t know,” she said, looking into the fire, her eyes glassy, “anywhere.”

Summary
“You know how I talked about my best friend—er, ex-best friend, I guess? How I sort of…ghosted him once we started college?” She took another swig. The liquor should have been smooth, but what she was about to say made it feel like sludge down her throat, forcing her to swallow thickly. Her voice was small when she said, “He’s here.”
“What do you mean, here? Like, with someone from work?” Riju asked, and for some reason, the idea of that made Zelda feel sick. It was a relief to shake her head and say,
“No, I think he’s catering.”
“Are you sure?”
“Riju, I would know him anywhere.”
Or, Zelda learns that not all romances go quite like the books have them written, and Link learns a thing or two about pleasing a woman.

Giving her a comforting squeeze on the shoulder, Purah states, “You know what they say, you always find the right person when you’re not looking for them.”
Zelda opens her mouth to make a snarky comment, something like ‘who’s they,’ or to refute how that statement clearly doesn’t work for everyone, but she doesn’t. To live in a world as magical as fate would have it, something about finding the right person when you’re not looking for them always left her wondering if that was the romance bound to her. That somewhere deep down, she’d find love in the sweetest of places, somewhere between the sugar and the cream that swirls together as perfectly as coffee sipped between the pages of a good book, and the drizzle of rain.
And there’s nothing quite like falling in love at a coffee shop.
