“—and I know that there’s Becca and Tanner and Millie to consider, but I was wondering if you maybe wanted to move in? Together? With me?”

Mel blinks. He certainly doesn’t look like he’s having a stroke.

“Frank, why would we move in together?”

“I thought it might be nice,” he shrugs here, acting nonchalant even though Mel can see the tension in his jaw. “To take that next step in our relationship.”

“Frank, what are you talking about? We’re not in a relationship?”

At this, Frank’s frown deepens before widening into a frustrated half smile. “Uh, yes we are? We’ve been dating for nine months?”

    What.

Or, Frank thinks Mel doesn’t do physical touch.
Or, Mel doesn’t realize they’ve been dating for nine months.

    Summary

When amateur reporter Clark Kent goes to interview arrogant billionaire Bruce Wayne, he encounters a man who's opaque, difficult, and irritatingly hot. Carefully unremarkable and usually level-headed Clark becomes uncomfortably aware he wants this man, and, despite Wayne's undeniable entitlement and seemingly deliberate jackassery, finds he is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Clark's perceptiveness, stubbornness, and persistent generosity of spirit, Wayne admits he wants him, too—but on his own terms.

Surprised yet drawn to Wayne's singular erotic tastes, Clark hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational business, his vast wealth, his unfair attractiveness—Wayne is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When they embark on a daring, passionately physical affair, Clark discovers Bruce Wayne's secrets and explores his own dark desires.

this is genuinely such an incredible work and i am angry at myself for not preparing for it adequately.

“fifty shades of grey au ahahah” and then i proceed to get hit by fifteen atomic bombs…

i cannot even think right now. holy shit. i am crying?? i have been crying for the last hour??? this is so much more than a 50sog fanfic that i feel almost thwarted by its tags and description. rn i am a psychiatric patient banging on the walls and my chosen mantra for the next month is: this is not a gooner fic i promise please pleaseeeee

i need aftercare after this. ngl.

“So listen,” Robby says, “I heard you’ve uh, well, that you’re living with Dr. King. Is there any truth to that statement?”

    Frank groans.

“Yeah, yes, I’m living with her,” he says and Robby gets that crazy look in his eyes so Frank barrels on, “It’s not like that. Robby it’s not,” and Robby doesn’t look like he believes him one bit. “I’m living in her spare room and I pay her rent. We’re roommates. That’s not a crime.”

    Summary

The one where Sanji gets her heart broken easily, and falls in love even easier. At the end of it all, no matter how many women she meets, it always comes back to Zoro. The truth of the matter is this:

Zoro doesn’t like Sanji. Sanji’s used to beautiful women not liking her. Life goes on.

Zoro stops in her tracks, pointing a finger between the two of them. “Whatever this is, needs to stop. Just because Nami’s off limits now doesn’t mean you can use me to move on.”

Sanji stares at her, stunned at the raw honesty of it, something she doesn’t often expect in their relationship, which is built on Zoro sidestepping her flirting without ever acknowledging her feelings. The other part of her is in shock that Zoro actually had the social dexterity to conclude this is what’s happening. (She’s wrong, of course. Zoro is often wrong, but Sanji doesn’t hold it against her.)

    Summary

He looked out toward the sea. "I thought it better not to intrude by presuming your notice after--" he faltered, then said with effort, "after all that has passed between us. I believed it would be unwelcome."

"Is it your habit," she asked with the faintest smile, "to determine a lady's preferences without consultation?"

This was not the right thing to say, bringing up those things they would both rather forget. His expression shifted--perhaps embarrassment, perhaps frustration. "I did not mean to offend."

"No?" She arched an eyebrow. "Then you do it quite by accident, sir."
