the idea of leaving florida to move somewhere like nockfell, a place no one on earth had ever heard of, and if they had, had never lived to tell the tale, was ridiculous, regardless of how much i hated florida. i had no future in either location, but one place had my entire life, newborn to now, buried deep within it. moving to nockfell tossed me into a pit of other people's memories, things i was vacant in. immigration into such a social circle, especially in high school, was suicide.
of course, that went right over my mother's head, but she hadn't been a new student, in a new school, in a new state in more years than i had been alive; her ignorance was expected. i was doomed to spending the rest of my years alone and bored, like florida, except now i would have no previous connections, no one i could remember, nothing to make myself feel better. no relationships would be reanimated here.
the word tragedy comes to mind.

He was an absolute mess. There was always some kind of stain on him, a lingering remnant of whatever questionable concoction he had thrown together for himself.
Showers were a rare occurrence, something he only bothered with when Papyrus finally couldn’t stand the stench and nagged him into it.
And who could forget the time she caught him gleefully scooping up an entire lasagna that had tumbled onto the floor? "Lasagna De Le Carpet” he called it, as if it were some kind of delicacy.
Then there was his constant need to make her the punchline of every joke, delighting in pushing her buttons just to see her reaction.
Yes, Sans Serif was lazy, messy, and perpetually obnoxious.
There was no way, absolutely no way, she could ever find herself attracted to someone like him.
…Right?

You end up helping a giant, 6'7", edgy Sans with his issues. Oh, and you two fall in love along the way.
Your chance meeting with Papyrus sucked you into a wild ride of friendship, angst and romance.
Oh, and spaghetti. Lots of spaghetti.
