Summary
A new slave, barely conscious and beaten to within an inch of her life, is deposited in a cell beneath Warren Bering's famed ludus gladiatorus. None who work in the ludus know who she is or why she's there; they can only treat her wounds and await explanations from the Dominus upstairs.
