"He did it again."

Seokjin focuses his eyes on Jungkook, whose face expresses a familiar look of disgust and/or fear. Ah, he knows that look all too well by now, seeing it for the 107th time this month alone. "What'd he do this time?" He asks the younger.

"I was... oh, hey, Hoseok-hyung." Jungkook greets Hoseok upon his entrance.

"You guys would not believe what he did to me in the bathroom!" Hoseok shrieks quietly, the mug of coffee in his hand shaking, worrying Seokjin that it might spill.

"Wait, I have a story too! I was just about to tell hyung over here."

"But... mine's more interesting."

Seokjin shakes his head at the banter between the two and raises a hand. "I was born with two ears for a reason, so give me all that you've got." He settles the argument and prepares himself to listen to their whining about their boss.

Their boss, Min Yoongi.

"Okay, I go first because I'm older." Hoseok sticks his tongue out at Jungkook, who frowns and quietly complains about how stupid seniority is for matters like this. "He totally eyed my thing."

"What?!" Both Jungkook and Seokjin gasp.

"Yeah!" Hoseok bobs his head up and down. "Like, you guys know how big I am, right?"

"Pft."

"Uh, sure."

"Fuck you, Jungkook. So, okay, like... I was just minding my own business when he came into the bathroom and did his own business in the urinal next to me." Hoseok explains, his hands flying around like a habit of gesture whenever he tells a story.

"When you say "business", I think of something else." Jungkook grins mischievously, causing Seokjin to shake his head disapprovingly.

"Shut up, Jungkook." Hoseok groans. "So, anyway, he like, looks over the divider and says to me, 'Nice shoes.' and like, of course, I said thank you! But it was like, so creepy! He probably looked at my dick first before looking at my shoes!"

"Which are made out of wicker, by the way." Jungkook interjects. "Why would anyone even compliment those things?"

"Fuck you, Jungkook."

"I know that already too."

"Wait, so... you're basing this on him probably eyeing your... thing... instead of the compliment he gave you about your shoes?" Seokjin asks while narrowing his eyes in suspicion. "Seems a bit unlikely."

"Seriously, hyung!" Hoseok whines.

"Eh, don't mind Seokjin-hyung." Jungkook says as he settles his hand on one of Seokjin's shoulders, which he doesn't remove for the next 30 minutes. "He doesn't take sides."

"What?! Then what's the point of complaining about our boss to him then?!" Hoseok grimaces, faking his shuddering.

"He listens." Jungkook smiles at Seokjin, who just nods in agreement.

//

"I just know the bastard ate my doughnuts." Taehyung grumbles, hugging his box of doughnuts, which used to have 6 pieces inside and now only has 1 left.

Seokjin sighs and rubs his back comfortingly. "I seriously doubt that."

"For real, hyung! Ugh, what's the point? You won't ever take our side anyway." Taehyung pouts and squints his eyes at the elder. "I don't know why you're so nice to him -- he treats you like shit."

"Because he compensates me for him to treat me like shit."

"That doesn't make sense."

"I know it doesn't. But that's just how it works." Seokjin shrugs.

"Have y'all solved who's the doughnut thief?" Namjoon walks over to them with a crap ton of files in hand.

"Yes and, jesus, who dumped that on you, hyung?" Taehyung cringes at the sight of so much paperwork. "Aren't you an accountant?"

Seokjin notices this and raises a brow at the legal documents. "Oh, yeah. Why are you handling contracts?"

Namjoon sighs that familiar sigh as he sits his ass on an empty stool, also setting down the folders on the table, landing them with a resonating sound of a thud. "Sajang-nim told me to handle the accounts for the Lee Kyung settlement."

"What -- but you need like, a whole team for that?" Seokjin gasps.

"I know."

"And the bastard is making you do this on your own?" Taehyung grits his teeth.

"Yep. He said the exact words, 'I want to see a progress report on my desk by Friday, Kim-ssi. And make sure you do it alone, okay?' when I asked him if I should recruit others to work with me on it." Namjoon explains, and Seokjin notices the bags under his eyes.

"That bastard!" Taehyung exclaims while pounding his fist on the table, causing the files to collapse and fall to the floor. "Sorry, hyung."

//

Seokjin enters the break room with a box of freshly baked doughnuts inside, feeling quite ecstatic as he looks forward to Taehyung's reaction the moment he gives it to him. But then he hears the sound of someone crying once he opens the door.

"Jimin! What's wrong?!" Seokjin puts the box down on the table and sits next to Jimin, whose legs are folded to accommodate the chair while his arms are wrapped around them.

"S-Seokjin-hyung..." Jimin can't even speak without the snot in his nose threatening to drip. "Sajang-nim... h-he..."

"What? What did he do this time?" Seokjin furrows his brows in anger, one of his hands curled into a fist as the other caresses the younger's back to comfort him.

"H-he... he c-called me out... on my m-makeup..."

"He what -- ! Wait, he what?" Seokjin takes a second to process what was said. "He... called you out on your makeup? Uhm? I'm confused?"

Jimin pouts even harder. "It's true!"

"You wear makeup?"

"See! T-That's exactly w-what he said!" Jimin exclaims, overwhelming Seokjin.

"Okay, uhm... calm down first." Seokjin sighs in relief. He was kinda expecting that it'd be something bigger.

The two of them just sit in still silence as Jimin's sobbing decreased. Seokjin patiently waits for the explanation Jimin's preparing to tell him. Like, did Yoongi insult him? Or like, didn't mean to offend Jimin on purpose? In this case, Seokjin hopes it's scenario B.

"Are you okay now?" Seokjin warmly smiles at Jimin, who's settled down now and just hiccups from time to time.

"Yeah... I think so." Jimin rubs his swollen eyes to wipe away the left tears. "Let me tell you what he did, hyung."

"I'm all ears."

"Well," Jimin sighs. "I went to his office to give him the progress report on the Gong Jaehwa contract, right?" Seokjin nods. "Well, as I waited for him to make a comment about it while he read the thing, he looked at my face and said, 'Did you wear makeup today, Park-ssi?' so I answered affirmatively. Then he nodded 3 times before telling me, 'Looks nice.' and then he dismissed me!"

Seokjin counts from 1 to 10 to think about the situation. Hmm.

"W-What... what was so bad about that?" He cautiously asks Jimin with a genuinely confused face, but Jimin just shrugs anyway.

"I know you wouldn't understand because you're like, the peace justice around here, hyung," Jimin puts his feet down on the ground and stretches his back. "But there's always something bad about what he says or does, honestly."

"Okay...?"

"Oh my god, Jimin! Why're your eyes so red?!" Hoseok's voice enters the room along with a collection of others'.

"He did something!"

"The bastard did?! I'm really gonna -- ooh, are those doughnuts?"

...here we go again.

//

"I think I'm gonna ask him out at the Christmas party."

The entire break room breaks out into boos and hisses at Jungkook's confident statement. The bagel thrown at him was probably Taehyung too.

"Ugh, you suck, Jeon." Taehyung raises a thumbs up, only to flip it as he blows raspberry at him. "Seokjin-hyung's too nice to reject you so he'll probably say yes."

"Oh, screw you, Taehyung-hyung."

"Fo' real, though." Namjoon joins in while cracking his knuckles, making them do that popping sound. "I kind of agree. Like, has Seokjin-hyung ever declined going out with any of us?"

No one shakes their head up and down, only sideways.

"Yeah, that's weird, actually." Jimin scratches the back of his neck. "Does hyung even know he's the "hottie" we moan about in here?"

"Dude, he's got no clue." Taehyung answers that question.

"I heard that Seokjin-hyung thinks that the "hottie" is sajang-nim." Jungkook whispers like it's a secret, which is only responded with sounds of absolute disgust.

"No way!" Hoseok shudders. "But I see Namjoon's point. Seokjin-hyung has gone out on a date with every one of us except for Jungkook. But like, nothing's ever happened, right?"

"God, no." Namjoon chuckles. "Hyung took me out to the arcade and we just had this... brotherly-type of fun."

"Same goes for me!" Taehyung exclaims. "Hyung and I went to the movies. I was expecting for him to cling to me out of fear but the movie was so bad that we ended up laughing at the bad production value."

"That's because movie dates suck, Taehyung." Jimin makes a mocking sound, as to which Taehyung gasps at. "Hyung took me to this little bistro down in Samseongdong. And I was truly expecting a date-date but hyung only showed the one side he has here at work. It was such a bummer."

"Y'all~" Hoseok clicks his tongue. "Hyung and I went to a night club -- "

"You got too drunk and Seokjin-hyung took you home. We know, Hoseok." Namjoon says boringly, his eyes practically glazing over.

"Plus, hyung saw you puke on the sidewalk." Taehyung laughs.

That seems to shut Hoseok up.

"So, all of your dates with hyung failed that hard?" Jungkook bites his bottom lip. "Have you guys ever thought that maybe hyung is... unavailable?"

In that moment, the 5 of them look at each other with unknowing expressions on their faces, which envelops the room's entire atmosphere with such awkwardness.

"Afternoon, fellas." Seokjin's voice is sudden and they all flinch. "Woah, are you guys all right? Your faces look pale."

"Hyung, I have a question for you." Jimin volunteers as tribute. Seokjin, on the other hand, smiles and nods as he walks over to the coffee machine to make himself a cup of joe. "Are you seeing anyone right now?" He asks.

The elder raises a finger, signifying for them to wait for his answer as he stirs his coffee with a spoon, then he sits down at the table with them. "I never told you guys?"

"Told -- told us what?" Taehyung widens his eyes.

Seokjin chuckles, god, he's breathtaking, and then he raises his hand. "I'm married." And each of them eye the ring on his finger.

"What?!"

"To whom?!"

"Uhm..." Seokjin looks to the side, and their eyes follow -- only to land on the figure walking past the open door of the break room, making all of them cause an uproar as they see...

//

"You gotta stop complimenting people in the bathroom, Yoongi-chi."

"But..."

Seokjin puts down his tablet to squint his eyes at his husband. "It's really weirding everybody out at work." He says honestly.

Yoongi furrows his brows while crawling next to Seokjin on their bed. "Well, okay, whatever." He shrugs before fluffing up his pillow and settling it down next to Seokjin's head. "But I just don't see why me complimenting anyone in general is such a bad thing. And... I can't be sarcastic either?"

"Baby, sarcasm in the workplace is the worst thing you've ever done. Besides the fact that you ate Taehyung's doughnuts."

"Wha -- it was Jungkook!" Yoongi exclaims.

"What?!" Seokjin's eyes suddenly widen.

"I passed by the break room and totally caught the kid putting 5 doughnuts on a plate and zoomed past me with it. Aish, this is the reason why we have ants, like gosh." Yoongi sighs, but there's no real frustration.

Seokjin stares at him for a while, feeling a fluttering in his stomach. Then he releases a breath he's been holding before putting his tablet aside and giving all of his attention to his kitten of a husband.

"...what?" Yoongi narrows his eyes at his partner.

"Nothing." Seokjin smiles. "I just love ya."

Yoongi's cheeks turn red, causing Seokjin to erupt into laughter. "Fucking cheese."

"Come on."

"No."

"Please?"

"Nuh-uh."

Seokjin huffs as he pouts, and then he proceeds to climb over Yoongi's figure and pepper his face with butterfly kisses. "I love you, Yoongi-yah... I love you..." He keeps on repeating until his lips trail down to Yoongi's neck.

"Mm... I love you too, hyung..."

//

"So, no one really noticed that Yoongi and I have the same wedding rings?" Seokjin asks the group, his face contorted with more amusement than expected confusion.

"No..." Jungkook quietly answers. "I was even thinking of asking you out this Christmas, hyung..."

"Gosh, sorry for hitting on you all these months, hyung. We didn't know you were already married." Jimin apologizes profusely. Which is only fair -- he flirted with Seokjin the most.

"Months?" Seokjin gasps. "Guys, Yoongi and I have been married for 5 years."

Another collective gasp fills the room.

"So, hyung... then you kinda like had a What's Wrong With Secretary Kim? love story with him 5 years ago?" Taehyung asks, and everyone's inwardly groaning at the K-Drama reference... but they're curious if it's true.

"Huh?" Seokjin asks. "Secretary? What makes you guys think I'm his secretary?"

At this point, it's been serious confusion after serious confusion.

"Then... what's your job here...?" Namjoon throws back a question at him, and everyone leans into the table to prepare for the answer.

"I'm the CEO...?" Seokjin points to himself as his cheeks redden along with the tips of his ears. "Guys, Yoongi's the COO. There's a reason why the company is called Kim-Min and not the other way around. Guys? Guys...? Ah, you all look pale."

No, they didn't prepare enough.
