Sherlock Holmes had done a lot in the last few years and feels that he is entirely responsible for his current situation. His relationship with his best friend has soured to the point where Sherlock wonders if they are even friends any longer, though he thinks they are, at least, they are friends enough that he is babysitting John's daughter on a daily basis. It's not good, but he accepts it, that is, until one day, a tall dark stranger enters his life and turns everything on its edge.
