Shigaraki Tomura is a being made to destroy, a man who lives for this purpose. Well, if he's being honest with himself (which he tries not to make a habit of), he's more of a man child. Or so people may say when he's not around. No one wants to talk shit in front of someone who can reduce them to a pile of dust with a touch. Except Dabi, but his fuckery knows no bounds so he doesn't count.
Anyways, where was he before he got sidetracked? Oh yes, being a man-child. A quick google search confirms it:
-his relationship with Sensei (the only parent-like person he has left) could easily be considered enmeshment
-he doesn't have mature relationships
-d̶o̶e̶s̶ ̶h̶e̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶a̶ ̶j̶o̶b̶?̶ ̶s̶u̶p̶e̶r̶v̶i̶l̶l̶a̶i̶n̶y̶ ̶d̶o̶e̶s̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶p̶a̶y̶ ̶a̶s̶ ̶w̶e̶l̶l̶ ̶a̶s̶ ̶o̶n̶e̶ ̶m̶i̶g̶h̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶n̶k̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶w̶o̶u̶l̶d̶,̶ ̶b̶u̶t̶ ̶i̶t̶'̶s̶ ̶s̶t̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶w̶o̶r̶k̶ ̶e̶v̶e̶n̶ ̶i̶f̶ ̶i̶t̶'̶s̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶e̶x̶a̶c̶t̶l̶y̶ ̶a̶l̶l̶o̶w̶e̶d̶,̶ ̶r̶i̶g̶h̶t̶?̶
- apparently, an "addiction" to videogames isn't a "healthy" way to cope with stress because it promotes "avoidance" and "escapism" (Tomura personally thinks this is bullshit, but he's not the one with the degree)
-he doesn't help around the house/bar
-and, perhaps most importantly, he lacks insight and can't/doesn't express emotions appropriately (whatever that's supposed to mean)
Shigaraki Tomura thinks (and don't quote him on this, he's one of Japan's most wanted, not a psychologist),that this is probably because he never really got a chance to be Shimura Tenko. Because his childhood was taken. Because his life was decayed until nothing was left. but there's no room for him to complain when he did this to himself. to his family.
This is why Shigaraki Tomura tries not to be honest with himself. Because Shimura Tenko is dead. and dead (little boys with bright eyes and hands made for hugging) men tell no tales.
