    Summary

    Death is ancient. Though humans are new to his task of collecting souls, Thanatos has been presence since the dawn of living creatures to provide a path for their ultimate destruction so creation could begin again. He is still young in the grand scheme of the cosmos and has much to learn about his added burden.

    Death Incarnate learns that the Olympian Gods require much more care and attention than he is used to giving the surface world. First Ares makes an unusual request that went against eons of tradition. Then Thanatos has to figure out how to incorporate the strange little god, Hermes, into those connected to the transfer of souls to the Underworld.

    Now he feels intertwined with the fates of so many immortals. It made his existence complicated, but Thanatos cannot regret a moment of his new relationships.
