Work Text:

Sunday afternoons at Wash's house were the best and made even better when his cat, Loki decides to grace them with his presence. York, ever the jokester, would always find ways to make his buddies laugh, even more so when Church was the target of harmless pranks. North would always brings over drinks and snacks to munch on while they played, and Church simply enjoyed being there with his friends no matter how much he would vehemently deny it. Though their Sunday get-togethers were never the same ever since another friend of theirs went to study abroad five years ago soon after high school, it didn't stop them from keeping him involved as if he never left. Today, however...

"Damn it, he's not answering," Wash whines and calls again.

"Maybe he got busy today," North supplies, "He did say last week we had tons of work." He places a cream soda can in front of Wash and plops down on the couch next to Church, smiling at the irritated grumbles from him. "Besides, it was bound to happen. I'm just surprised it took five years for him to finally miss a Sunday."

"Well, yeah, but..." Wash sighs and shakes his head. "No, you're right. Whatever, guess he's gonna miss out on the movie." He grabs his soda and pops it open, shrieking when he's sprayed. "YORK!" He glares at his friends when they burst out laughing. "Haha, yeah, laugh it up," he sniffs and leaves to change, smile blooming on his face at their antics. Somethings never change.

It wasn't an hour later when a knock comes from the door. Church pauses the movie and raises a brow at Wash. "You expecting anyone?"

"No. Probably the landlord."

"Take the bat. What if it's a serial killer?"

"York, you watched one too many documentaries."

"Always be prepared I say."

"I thought you said 'Never quit. Never fail.'"

"That's only when I fail to woo Carolina. Again."

"My sister won't say no, but she then again, only likes tiger lilies."

"Tiger lillies? I've been getting her Roses!"

"Guys, quiet!" Wash hisses as he walks to the door and setting the bat next to it. As a precaution of course. That's all. He looks through the peep hole and almost facepalms. "It's the pizza guy," he says with a snort and opens the door to get it. "Sorry about that; I'm sure you heard what they were saying."

"Oh no, it's fine. 'Always be prepared,' right? Anyways, enjoy." The guy snickers and leaves, leaving the boys to jab at York. Wash sets down the boxes and heads to kitchen, but Church narrows his eyes at the boxes.

"Who ordered the pizza?" He asks, glancing at North and York who promptly stop their conversation to give him a puzzled look.

North narrows his eyes. "What do you mean?Didn't you order it? I sure didn't."

"Neither did I," York mutters, turning his head to the kitchen, "Wash, did you order the pizza?"

The freckled man walked back with plates and napkins in hand, a light frown painting his features. "No, I thought it was one of you guys."

All four boys eye the pizza boxes until Church scoffs and opens it. "Free pizza for us then," he grumbles, but then notices the weird message on the inside.

I'm Coming For You...

York gasps and jumps up. "I told you it was a serial killer!"

North pulls him back down with a roll of his eyes, shaking his head. "Calm down, I'm sure it's just a prank from someone we know."

"Yeah, like who?"

"Tucker for one."

"And maybe even Sarge if he's feeling up to it." Church shakes their head at them, grabs a pizza slice, and takes a large bit off of it. He ignores the looks from his friends as he continues eating. "It's not poisoned, guys." Or at least he thought it wasn't poisoned; it tasted like pepperoni pizza that's for sure.

All of them were too busy gaping in shock at Church when another set of knocks resound through the apartment. All eyes, except Church who was busy munching and scrolling through his phone, stare at the door, fidgeting and glancing at each other when nothing else came. York gasps when he's pushed towards it, but quickly steps away and behind North to shove him towards it. "I'm not dying, you go."

"No, you go. You're the one who's insisting it's a serial killer."

"Fine then, Church-"

"Nope." He doesn't bother looking up.

North and York turn towards Wash. "It's your apartment," North says with a shrug, "You go."

"Why me!?"

York grins nervously. "Because you have medical insurance?"

"Yeah, but it's only useful if I'm alive," he grits out.

"You're expendable."

"Church!"

"What?" He rolls his eyes for what seemed like the umpteenth time. "We're all thinking it."

Wash whines and after a few more seconds of panicking to himself, resigns to his fate. "Craaap. Fine, I'll do it." His friends pat his shoulder in reassurance (was it reassurance?) and he shuffles slowly to the door. He grips the bat in one hand, but away and out of sight, and tries to look through the peephole. Tries being the word as all he could see was black. "Fuuuuck, okay, okay..." Slowly he opens the door and gasps.

North and York briefly glance at each, worried for their friend's life. "Uh, Wash," North starts.

"Is everything okay?"

It was then Wash snaps out of his shock and steps off to the side and opening the door wider.

"Hey guys! Let me assure you that the only serial killer visiting you is a cereal killer. Ah? Get it? Cereal killer? 'Cause I...love cereal...oh, come on guys, appreciate my puns while I'm here."

"Felix!"

At the doorway, covered head to toe in expensive Korean brands, stood Felix with a smug smirk on his face. "You should've seen the looks on your facing when you opened the pizza box, oh my god. It was hilarious. Even made my usually stoic boyfriend crack a smile. Ah pap! No hugs," He quickly states with his arms out when Wash moved to hug him, "I might vomit on you; I'm still feeling a little queasy from the flight here."

North smiles and shakes his head. "York was adamant you were a serial killer."

"Psh, yeah right. I simply suggested that it might be one. Wait, how did you know we opened the pizza box?" Felix grins and points to Church who was still sprawled out on the loveseat. Said friend smirks at the three dumbfounded boys and waves his phone at them.

"We were videochatting the entire time I was making my over here fron the airport. Well, not chatting, but you get the idea. I ordered the pizza."

Church gets up and walks over to the group, pocketing his phone. "He wanted to surprise you and since I'm the one who can keep secrets out of all of us, we coordinated."

Wash groans and buries his face in his hands while Felix pats his shoulder. "Don't worry Wash, your kink is safe with me. I could hook you up with some guys if want to keep getting drenched in fluids." He grins as the blond's sputtering and laughs along with his friends.

"Felix."

"Oh, right. Guys, this is my boyfriend Sam. Sam, these are my friends. They go by North," North gives him a small smile and waves. "York," the scarred man grins and gives Sam a two finger salute. "Wash," he smiles tentatively with a small wave. "And Church."

Church gives Sam a slow once over and his eyebrows raise. He turns back to Felix with a long whistle. "Your poor ass."

"No, my ass is amazing. Now let us in before I turn into a popsicle." His friends walks back further in the apartment and Felix goes to follow, but stops at the hand on his arm. "What's wrong?"

"They...seemed to be afraid of me," Sam mumbles quietly, almost as if he was scared. "I can go and finalize the apartment paperwork."

"Nonsense! If they warmed up to me, they'll warm up to you. God knows you're a much better person than I am." Sam smiles and walks in after him, closing the door behind them. "Hey you're supposed to deny it."

"Hmm."

"Rude."
