Chapter Text
It had been a pretty normal day for everyone in Tokyo Revengers since there weren't any near deaths. Everyone was just enjoying this calm day that was pretty rare for those who are part of gangs or in some cases linked to some who were in one.
As I said everything was normal until some people simply disappeared from where they were only to find themselves in a somewhat big reading room.
"Welcome to this place and please just sit and read this short story" said a voice out of nowhere "I brought you here and no you can't leave until you have read it" it added before anyone could say anything
“Where are we?” asked Luna looking at her sister
"I don't know" answered Mana and both looked around until they saw Emma "Emma-chan!" shouted Mana and Emma looked at them
"Hello Luna, Mana!" the girl said with a smile "Oi Yuzuha you can stop hiding! If this two are here it means it won't be something like last time" she added and Yuzuha appeared sighing in relief
"Thank god" was the only thing the girl said
"We are here again"said Senju from the other side and beside her was her older brother and unknown woman
"Hi? I'm Baji Aoi" said the woman a bit confused with what was happening
"You are Baji-kun's mother?" asked Emma a bit surprised
"If your talking about Keisuke then yes I am but you can also consider me Tora's mother since I raised him more than his mother did"said Aoi with a little smile
"Nice to meet you"said all of them and one by one they presented themselves including Taiju who they hadn't noticed until that moment
"Also Taiju who won the bet?" asked Emma before they could sat themselves
"I was wrong on Chifuyu's but right on the other two so we considered it a draw" answered the man
"I didn't expect that especially when it came to Sanzu" Emma muttered surprised
"If you had been here the first time you would know why"said Yuzuha in Taiju's place
"Can we go read already?" asked Takeomi and everyone nodded their heads
They sat themselves where they wanted and some asked for food or drinks before the little book appeared in Aoi's hands who with a smile opened it so they could start reading.
“Can we call you “Taka-chan” too?”
"That's Hakkai-nii's nickname for Nii-san" pouted Luna and Mana nodded in agreement it was only Hakkai who could call their brother like that which made the girls and woman giggle
Takashi swore and cut several centimeters more than what he needed in the fabric he was holding. He made a face at the long trim before looking up to the two awaiting boys. He recomposed himself by breathing deeply and discharging the sewing scissors and the cloth on the table.
"I can see that surprising him since besides Hakkai the others all call him Mitsuya so for someone to suddenly ask that it would really surprise him" said Yuzuha thinking a bit if she remembered someone who gave him a nickname or called him by his first name
He smiled lazily at the determined Chifuyu and the embarrassed Takemichi before glancing at the scowling Hakkai, seated away from them on the couch, and asking them to repeat.
"Of course it had to involve the triplets" muttered Taiju rolling his eyes
"You mean Chifuyu-kun, Michi-chan and Hakkai-kun?" asked Aoi remembering that her son once told her the triplets would come to their house and later met those three boys(well she already knew Chifuyu but the other two had been unknown to her in someway since she never met them in person)
"Yep!" answered Senju giggling about the woman using the '-chan' only for Takemichi
“I knew it, you don’t want to,” Takemichi whined before slumping on his partner who patted his head.
"That is a deadly weapon" said Takeomi remembering that just last week Sanzu had asked if the boy could stay that night and when he said know the boy reacted like that and Takeomi lost the battle and ended letting him stay(he forced the boy to sleep in the room next to his to make sure neither of his siblings had any strange ideas)
"Agreed" said Yuzuha, Emma and Senju who had been under that weapon and lost against it
“I didn’t say no.”
"Of course he would say that" said Emma rolling her eyes knowing that even the famous delinquents of Toman were weak against the triplets but especially Takemichi
“But you didn’t say yes,” countered Chifuyu, “You don’t want us to call you “Taka-chan”. It’s okay, we got it: Hakkai privilege. You have a favorite, everyone has some. It’s normal.”
"Yes! Only Hakkai-nii can call him that!" said Mana this time
"Everyone's favourite is almost always one of the triplets no matter how much we curse them" poured Yuzuha and everyone except Aoi and the two little girls had to agree
Takashi wanted to defend himself but Hakkai scoffed, intervening.
“As he should! Leave Taka-chan alone, I can’t focus on his side profile if you’re in the way.”
"Since when did he become such a simp that he wasn't afraid of saying it out loud?" asked Taiju sighing remembering a past where his brother only simped when in his room alone
"From what we heard it was after what happened in Christmas" answered Emma and Taiju buffed but didn't say anything else
The green-eyed teen showed him his middle finger and the other opted for ignoring the fuming teen to look expectantly at the oldest in the room.
"Nii-san said to never do that because it means we are being disrespectful" said the two little girls together
"And he is right so don't do it no matter how many people you see doing it"agreed Aoi remembering a time where her baby had been an innocent little kid
“Can we at least call you by your first name then?” Takemichi pleaded and Chifuyu nodded his head furiously. Mitsuya scratched the back of his neck, thinking and avoiding the puppy look the two were sending him.
"That is an even worse weapon because they can make you do stupid stuff with them" mumbled Emma remembering how many stupid things Toman had done because of those eyes
Mitsuya felt bad: he didn’t want to play favorites but he knew Hakkai prided himself in being the only Toman member calling him by his first name. And he didn’t want to deal with the tall teen being a child.
"That's so adorable" said Aoi with a soft smile because really that was what some of them should be proud of and not how many people they beat up or how many cars the had put on fire
“I mean, it’s kinda weird. Not even Draken call me by this name…” he tried to protest gently but he winced at the deflated face they made. He made a long sigh before giving up and allowing them. The two blondes smiled immediately before high-fiving each other and moving next to Hakkai.
"I would be even more surprised if he didn't end up agreeing to it" said Takeomi knowing from Senju and Sanzu how those three boys were truly adored by Toman even with the stupid shit they do
“Great, great now shut up. I got orders to make and you’re distracting me with your idiocies.”
“Okay, Takashi-kun!”
“We won’t talk anymore Takashi-san!”
"It easy to notice how happy they are about this"said Yuzuha with a smile
"When they want they can be little Angel's but other times…" said Taiju but didn't end his phrase but most understood it anyway
Hakkai made a gagging noise of disgust which earned him a blow in the ribs, courtesy of Takemichi.
'I'm surprised it was Takemichi since normally he is the one to calm the other two down" said Emma a bit surprised
“Any questions?”
"Somehow I fear for their lifes a bit" mumbled Takeomi and Senju nodded her head in agreement
Hakkai raised his hand and Draken made him sign to talk.
“Can we call you “Ken-chin” too?”
"I-" none of the present knew what to say
"Can we also call him that?" asked Luna curious since she adored the older boy
"Let's wait and see what his answer is to Hakkai-nii and his friends" answered Mana and Luna just nodded her head
Mitsuya made a noise of surprise and looked at Hakkai, baffled by his audacity. He shifted his gaze to the second in command who was already looking at him, silently asking questions which Mitsuya couldn’t answer.
"Yep. I still remember the shy and anxious Hakkai but it is an almost lost memory"said Yuzuha like remembering something that happened like twenty years ago while Taiju and Emma agreed with her
“Fuck no. I hate this nickname.”
"He does?" asked Emma surprised because normally when he didn't like something he said it outright and if that didn't result he would beat the shit out of them(but then again Mikey was a special case so there was always that)
Mikey made an offended noise before whining to his best friend about the glory of the nickname he gave him years ago. He was soon interrupted by Takemichi, also raising his hand.
"Mikey makes me think of a mixture of Shinichiro and Senju and that is a bit scary" said Takeomi remembering how the three of them were so similar that it was really scary
“So, it’s good if it’s not Ken-chin? Like Ken-kun.”
“Or Ken-san,” added Chifuyu.
"I think he won't agree"said Luna and her sister agreed with her
Mitsuya was pretty sure he heard Angry slapping his brother to stop him from laughing. Draken frowned deeper and raised himself on his feet, dominating them with his height combined with the steps of the shrine.
"Of course it is Angry who has to stop his brother from doing stupid things" said Senju remembering how both boys were and asking what Smiley did in his past life to have such an angel as a brother
“If any of you three,” he eyed the triplets, “have even the slightest thought about calling me by whatever dumb name you’re thinking,” he paused before raising his fist, “I will hurt you. Understand?”
"Does he really think that will work for a long time?" asked Taiju
"Actually when it comes to Draken-kun and Mitsuya they do tend to do what they say most of the time" answered Emma because she had seen that happen a lot
The three nodded furiously and Mikey took his chance to dismiss the meeting.
"Of course he would take any chance to dismiss a meeting" whispered Emma rolling her eyes
Just as they all went their own way, the chaotic trio hurried over the twins of the gang to talk. Mitsuya stopped at the display, making Pah-chin and Peh-yan who were walking home with him stop too to question him. He pointed at the five guys talking and Pah just looked unfazed.
"Are they asking everyone if they can give them nicknames?" asked Mana "If so we want to do that too"she added
"Me too"agreed Luna
"Why don't you ask your brother once you are back home?" said Aoi smiling at the two little girls
"Okay" said both of them with big smiles on their faces
“Probably asking about the nicknames.” He shrugged and continued walking, leaving the two behind. Mitsuya turned to Peh-yan and held him back when he just shrugged too, ready to follow his best friend. The green-haired grumbled, reluctant to spend more time at the temple.
"So the little girls are right"said Taiju a bit happy that this was something completely normal but then again Mitsuya's little sisters wouldn't be here if it wasn't
“The triplets have gotten into their heads to call everyone by a nickname.” Mitsuya lifted a brow. “What? They didn’t ask ya? Weird, even I got “ Ryo ”. ”
"I really want to know if Haruchiyo agreed to this and what is his nickname" said Senju more excited about this story than before
"If he does it wouldn't surprise me seeing that takemichi has already been to our house while Mikey hasn't" said Takeomi seeing tha Sanzu must adore the boy a bit if he brought him to their house before he brought his 'king'
The second division captain punched the vice right in the guts at the smug tone the other was taking. He was about to tone down the other’s attitude a bit when he noticed the trio trotting towards the exit in the corner of his eyes, looking proud of themselves.
"Really they most truly adore those boys to act like this" said Aoi while the two little girls giggled
"They truly do especially with everything they pulled or what we find about them"said Yuzuha sounding a bit tired of everything which is understable with what she found unwillingly about her little brother
“And with that Smiley becomes Nana , and Angry...” Chifuyu lifted his hand into the air, followed by the two others who responded in unison “Sou!” They high-fived each other before going down the steps without a care in the world.
"God that nicknames are so adorable" said Emma liking them and Senju nodded her head in agreement
"We really need to ask Nii-San about this once we are home"whispered Luna to her sister who smiled at her
Takashi couldn’t believe what he just heard.
"Well the twins would be the easiest ones while Draken, Mucho and Sanzu should be the worse ones to get to agree" said Emma after thinking a bit about which would be easier or difficult to convince about the nicknames
“Oi, Smiley!” He caught the attention of the oldest twin, “You said yes to that nonsense?”
Smiley just snickered.
“They’re cute. Not like ‘m the only one letting them: everyone said yes.”
"They are cute now but you just turn your head for a bit and they are already doing something they shouldn't" muttered Yuzuha
"You are talking as if you wouldn't have agree too" said Senju rolling her eyes while Yuzuha showed her tongue like a kid to not admit that she would
“Well, except Draken.” noted Angry.
"I think they will get him eventually" thought Takeomi out loud
“Even Mucho and Sanzu?” asked Peh-yan. It was impossible, unimaginable, that the fifth division duo would accept.
"Now is time to know what I have wanted to know for so long" said Senju with a smirk while Takeomi rolled hair eyes at the way she was acting
“ Mu and Chiyo they are.” The four teens shuddered at the mental image of the silly nicknames and the face of the two cold-blooded men.
"HE AGREED!" shouted Senju happy
"I have to say that those nicknames are too cute for the people who they were given to" said Emma but then again she didn't really know them so they might be a lot nicer than she though
“Baji is Kei , Mikey is Jiro , Pah is Haru and Kazutora is Kazu .” recited Angry.
"I do remember how happy my boys were about this"said Aoi with a soft smile while the girls cooed on how sweet it was that those two were so happy about it to tell it to Aoi
"I'm surprised Mikey let them call him a nickname derived from his birth name because since Shinichiro died he didn't let anyone call him that name or a nickname coming from it" mumbled Emma surprised about it
"Isn't Mikey the one Nii-San says that is always simping about Mitchy?" asked Mana curious
"Yes" said Yuzuha "And he probably said yes because of Takemichi" she added while looking at Emma who had to agree knowing how much of a simp her brother was for the boy
"Who doesn't simp for Takemichi?" asked Senju but no one answered because they didn't heard her and even if they did there was almost no one who didn't do it
Even Mikey let them. Mitsuya wanted to scream. The nicknames were going to make him scream. They sounded like they were made by preschoolers. And why were they giving nicknames when half of them already had nicknames?
"Because we are talking about the triplets who can be like children most of the time" said Taiju rolling his eyes
"Nii-San just doesn't know what are cute nicknames"said Luna pouting
"Yeah! He should know that cute nicknames make people better" agreed Mana and the girls present cooed at their cuteness
“Talk about the strongest gang in Tokyo…” he mumbled while descending the numerous steps, “Fear not Toman, here comes the first division captain: Kei-chan!”
"Pfffft" they all started laughing even the little girls because it would be funny if the Toman captains and vice-captain were presented like that
"I wouldn't know if I should fight them serious or treat them like kids if I heard that" mumbled Takeomi after he had calmed down a bit
"When Haruchiyo arrives home I will start calling him Chiyo-chan"said Senju after she calmed down
"I will not stop him from hurting you or take you to the hospital" said Takeomi knowing it won't end well
"We should start calling them that" whispered Mana to her sister who giggled while agreeing
He stopped and hid his laughing to the three others accompanying him.
Alright, maybe those nicknames were not so bad.
"They aren't bad and could be pretty funny for sure"agreed Taiju with a smirk
"It's good to know that not all of the ones surrounding my boys only think about fighting and that they can be this cute"said Aoi smiling and some felt a little bad for her because sometimes the triplets were the worse between all of them
"Can we already go?" asked Luna wanting to go home fast so she and Mana could ask all their questions to their brother
"It shouldn't take long"said Senju
As she said that one by one started disappearing from the room. Once the two little girls were back in their home they ran to their brother's room to annoy him with questions about nicknames. Senju as she said before waited until Sanzu arrived to mess with him which ended with them starting to fight and Takeomi having to separate them so they didn't destroy the house. Emma decided to visit Shinichiro and asked Mikey if he wanted to come to which the boy agreed and they left to see their older brother. Yuzuha and Taiju just continued with their lives, happy to not be traumatized about something after having to hear someone reading the book again. Aoi appeared in her house to see her boys cuddling in their couch while sleeping with their two cats, they had recently adopted them, in the middle of them.
