Summary
Lan Zhan isn't expecting a summer trip to Lotus Pier to change his quiet, predictable life; then he meets Wei Ying, the adopted son of his uncle’s best friend. Someone else emerged from the water—a boy—pulling himself up onto the dock with both of his arms. He grinned and said something to the other two, but Lan Zhan couldn’t quite make it out; he was too distracted by flashes of bare, tanned shoulders, lean hips, and strong legs. The boy’s lips curved in a smile as he stood and shook the water from his ears. He looked to be around Jiang Cheng’s age, Lan Zhan guessed, not even twenty. He was beautiful, and Lan Zhan needed to stop staring, but instead his gaze drifted to the tattoo on his lower stomach, partially hidden by the waistband of his red swim trunks.
“Hi,” said the boy in a warm, smooth voice, turning his smile on Lan Zhan. “You must be the famous Lan Zhan.”
