“But – but – ” Daniel looks down at Johnny, blinking wide while his hand is lifted and the crowd cheers for him. "What?"
“You got three.” The ref repeats slowly, his body turned from Cobra Kai’s side of the mats in a way that Johnny hasn’t ever noticed – fuck, the asshole totally knows that hit was illegal. “You won, Mr LaRusso.”
And shit, what a stupid dream. Johnny should be able to fight as long as he wants without the rules getting involved in the middle of it. He’s going to give Daniel such shit for it when he goes in tomorrow, making them watch so much tape in prep for the exhibition with Koei-Kan that it literally gave him this weird… not nightmare, but whatever it is when it’s boring.
