    Jed is the type of person who works better with goals. The first and most important on his list is to destroy Chaos. But that's a given—that's his destiny in his life. The next goal, only a little further down, is to help Jack fucking chill for a while before his fixation to kill Chaos got them all in trouble. He was doing this, not just for his own interests or for Jack's sake. But for the good of the people, for all of mankind. He was a hero, really. And not all heroes wore capes.
