"Come on in! The water's fine!" Miyako said, laughing as Riko slowly treaded through the lake waters and swam right next to the other woman.
"Jeez, the water's freezing, you could have told me that sooner." Riko retorted, shivering, her arms and legs keeping her afloat and swimming next to Miyako.
"Well, I got us here, didn't I? We should at least enjoy it, we have the whole lake to ourselves."
Riko looked around, as Miyako was indeed right about that. The whole lake was just outside of town, and no one else was there.
"You do have a point, so let's stay close."
"I was already planning on that." Miyako replied, wrapping her arms around Miyako, pulling her close. She nuzzled her face into Riko's neck. "I'm never letting you go."
Riko blinked, and she laughed aloud, wrapping her arms around Miyako in return.
She didn't even care about how cold the water was anymore.
She was just glad to be here, and with her.
