Work Text:

L whimpered as the fingers in his hole dug deeper, stretching him out before adding a fourth one to the three inside.

"Come on, Light, I'm ready, I can take it now!" L humped back against the long digits, whining in frustration when the fingers insisted on moving methodically slow. The chilling lube trailed down L's thighs, and the wet squelching only made Light harder.

"Even if you could, I don't want to hurt you. This is your first time, I want to make sure you can enjoy this properly." Light referred to the thing that had started this arrangement in the first place, currently contained in his trousers.

While neither Light nor L had ever considered themselves sexual people, for some reason they had eachother feeling like hormone addled teenagers. They snuck glances at eachother in the shower often, admiring one another's features and bodies. Really, rather than being attracted to their bodies themselves, Light personally thought it was like enjoying the whipped cream on the hot chocolate. Their minds and persons were what drew them to eachother, and Light would've loved L no matter what form he could've come in.

Although, Light thought as L panted on his knees, his abyss-dark eyes and hair were quiet beautiful when they were twisted by L's arousal and desperation. Yes, like sweet icing on the cake. L probably would've appreciated these comparisons more, Light still didn't like sweet foods too much.

L had been the one to approach Light about this first, looking more standoffish than usual. Light had been able to discern it as L's version of feeling nerves, so he had patiently waited for the detective to initiate the conversation.

"Light," L had paused and Light had foolishly taken a sip of coffee, "I want to have sex with you."

Yes, Light had spit out his drink. Yes, it had been embarrassing.

L had admitted to watching Light, much like he knew the other was watching him. However, L had eloquently brought up a specific topic up when they had been in bed and discussing the matter privately.

"Your penis is quiet large, correct?" With all of the grace of a demolition ball.

Light had sputtered as L observed with a thumb on his lip, and a faint pink on the apples of his cheeks.

"Ryuuzaki! That's— You can't just ask that! Oh my God..." Light had pressed his hands into his burning cheeks, for the second time that day incredibly flustered by L.

"Is it not? I'm quite sure from my observations that your dick is above average, though perhaps you are merely a shower rather than a grower..." L Trailed off, mirth on his face as Light turned to scowl, blushing red.

"Yes, Ryuuzaki. My penis is above average."

"How big is it exactly? Have you measured? I'd be more surprised if you haven't, even though you don't strike me much as that kind of person." L was flushed now as well, obviously getting enjoyment from this. However, he also seemed rather aroused, if his heavier breaths were any indication.

Well fine then, if L wanted to know, then he'd tell him.

"It's eleven inches in length, and like two and a half in diameter."

"You're lying." The statement was immediate, and obviously made out of shock. Light chuckled a bit at L's open mouth, and grinned teasingly.

"Want me to prove it?" L had ended up nodding his head, and watched as Light shuffled out from under the covers, and pulled his pants down to display the rapidly hardening cock. Light would've been more embarrassed if it weren't for L's wide eyes and the dropped jaw.

It wasn't hard to piece together that L had something of a size kink after that, especially when L had ended up blowing Light as hard as a total virgin could.

And now, a couple days filled with discussions, staring and preparation later, L had shoved Light down on the bed and demanded Light fucked him that night. Who was Light to deny him?

Of course that brought them to now, with Light obsessively tenderizing L's ass in an attempt to make it painless, and L just wanting to get on with it already.

"Oh for fuck's sake! Come on Light, you've been at this for a half an hour! Shove your cock in me now and fuck me already!" L was starting to get frustrated now, and Light's wrist had started to hurt around ten minutes ago. There wouldn't be much Light's fingers could do anymore, anyways.

"Fine Ryuuzaki, but we're taking this slow." Light pulled his soaked fingers out of L's loosened hole, feeling his dick twitch when the shiny ring of muscle tightened around nothing.

With renewed vigor, Light squeezed more lube onto his pulsing dick, and spread it around with his wet hand. Seeing L watching with barely contained need, Light grabbed L's legs and spread them apart so Light could fit in between. He lined up the oozing head with L's entrance, licking his lips when his cock still enveloped the hole.

L was biting his lips in anticipation, shaking with excitement that that enormous, wonderful cock was finally about to go inside his ass. He hadn't been able to stop thinking about the other night where he had the heavy dick in his hand, not able to wrap his hands fully around the veiny shaft while he jacked and sucked it off, Light moaning and pulling his hair as Light's come exploded down his throat—

L groaned when finally, finally, Light began to press into him, the weight of the dick plowing through his body's half hearted attempts to clench. The head wasn't even in yet, and already L felt full.

When the head did pop in, both Light and L hissed and moaned at the sensation. Light panted as he sunk deeper and deeper into L's tiny hole, L's body opening up so nicely under him. L was panting, eyes wide and glossy as he grasped at the sheets in an attempt to ground himself. While it was definitely tight, it was heavily outweighed by the pure, scorching pleasure that raced up his spine. L wanted to be stuffed to the brim and more when Light was completely inside, to be completely ruined for any other dick.

"God Ryuuzaki, you're so fucking tight." Light hissed out, revelling in the sensation of splitting L open. The detectives black eyes were unfocused and fluttering, face cherry red with his tongue sticking out of his panting mouth.

"Mo-ore, fuck..." L looked blissed out, begging for more even though he kept pushing past his limits. He looked like a whore splayed out and begging like this and Light wasn't above the comparison.

"More, Ryuuzaki? You still want more even though you're struggling to take half? You are such a cock slut." Light punctuated this by slapping L on his arched ass, causing the raven haired man to gasp in pleasure. L bit his lip hard as his eyes focused on Light again, who had a nasty little smirk on his face.

"You like that Ryuuzaki? Like being called my whore? God, you should see yourself right now, you're practically gagging for it." Light made a hard thrust, shoving another few inches inside. L looked like he was going to come any second now, his neglected dick was leaking like a faucet.

"Yesss," L humped back as much as he could with Light's hands around his waist keeping him still, "please give it all to me!" More than anything at this moment, L wanted to be full of Light's giant cock.

Light looked down to see there were only a couple inches left, and then leaned over L to grab his hair and tug his head to the side. Light spoke into L's ear.

"Beg me for my cock, and tell me you're my little slut, and I'll fuck you until you're screaming and begging for me to stop."

L whined, trying again to thrust back onto Light's cock unsuccessfully. It was debased for L to beg another man to fuck him, he was the world's three greatest detectives! But hadn't he already done that, asking his main suspect to have sex with him because L was attracted to him?

Feeling Light tighten his bruising grip on his hair and waist, L bit his lip but conceded.

"I-I'm your little slut, please Light, please fuck me— ah!" L froze when Light thrust the last inches of his cock inside, moaning loudly. L panted, adjusting to finally having that monster inside of him. It burned, it was large and oppressive, but it wasn't searingly painful. L wiggled a bit, and clenched as much as the thick member would allow.

"Fuck," Light hissed, letting go of L's hair to bring his hands to L's chest. He gently stroked L's dick to distract him, tenderly kissing the pale nape as well. Light ran his hand up the chest, and grazed L's nipples. He began playing with one as L's breath deepened, pinching and rolling the nub as L began squirming in need. Light nipped and sucked at L's neck, creating an array of red and purple below where L's shirt collar would be.

"Okay, I'm ready." L's dampened arousal had ramped back up, and Light could see when L turned to him that he was excited.

"I'm going to move." Light began pulling in and out gently, glad for the copious lube to smooth the vice grip. Light could see the pain in L's expression rapidly melting away, as the black haired man began moaning and chasing the flesh inside of him.

Well, a promise is a promise. Light began putting more weight into his thrusts, the wet sounds getting louder with the noise of clapping flesh. God it was so nice inside of L, the slick friction and snug heat were so good; L felt made for him. He began speeding up, gaining momentum as Light began fucking L until the detective was struggling to think straight.

L wailed when a particular thrust hit his prostate, and Light began aiming for the spot even though the size of his dick allowed for him to always rub it. L felt Light put both hands on his hips and sit up, feeling Light start forcing L back onto his cock. The trusts kept hitting his prostate, and L felt his arms buckle as he fell face first into the sheets. He tried to center himself, but with the brunette behind him using him like a flesh light it was impossible.

"Shit, Ryuuzaki; look at you." Light grunted as he saw the usually bossy and dominant detective mewling and whimpering on his cock, a dark and hidden part of himself felt gleefully vindictive at the sight. He wanted L like this all the time, always fucked out and completely submissive to his demands. It was such a power trip compared to their usual dynamic of prisoner and captor, and Light felt himself revel in it.

"Guh— Angh! So— so bi–ig!" L was a mess, a euphoric, blissed out mess of pure pleasure and want. Again and again, that huge dick plunged inside, parting his walls and reshaping his hole. The searing pain was gone, replaced with a hot stretch and the feeling of his insides turning into warm goo. His dick was ignored, the prick bobbing as L was ruthlessly railed.

Every thrust L yelped, his low voice breaking from the overloading pleasure. It was so good, so so so good, and L almost regretted not having sex before. But truthfully L didn't think he'd ever have gotten someone as skilled and well endowed as Light, and he was very pleased about this heroin shock of a first time.

Light was so deep, he wouldn't be surprised if he could feel Light inside by putting his hand on his stomach. Trembling, L did so. While Light's violent rocking made it harder, L was able to clearly feel the bulge of Light's dick from the outside. L whimpered when he felt it, the fact that Light was so deep inside caused a blistering flash of heat to spread though him. The pure pleasure from Light's thrusts began to overwhelm him, and he felt the building of what had to be the most powerful orgasm of his life.

Light felt L start trembling, L's ass rhythmicly tightening and pulsing as L nearly screamed a moan.

"Light, fuck me harder, I need it, please!" Light became even more turned on at the words, L stroking Light's ego as he slammed back on the cock like his life depended on it. Light delivered, reaching down to grip the slender white thighs and flipping L to face Light as he began jackhammering into L as fast as he could.

L looked gone, eyes rolling back into his head, pink little tongue lolling out of his mouth, and a scarlet blush staining his cheeks as Light deflowered him. Light loomed over L, leaning down with a wicked smirk to speak into L's ear.

"Look at my slut, you want to come? Want me to stuff you full as you come all over my cock? You look ready to burst even though you haven't touched your dick. You gonna come just from me fucking your little boy pussy, huh? Don't worry, I'll make sure you get stuffed nice and full." He couldn't wait to see his load leaking out of L's ass.

Light's words were the last straw for L, and Light watched in lust as L shuddered all over. Keening and screaming, L exploded in the most earth shattering orgasm. His cock spewed come all over L's chest, his ass tightening to beyond anything Light had ever felt before.

Light cursed, his orgasm trailing behind L's. Even after coming L was still thrusting back onto Light's cock, riding out his powerful high.

Light yelled as he came, and soon L's ass was flooding with come. L panted as he felt the giant cock plugging it deep inside him, the bulge on his stomach becoming more noticeable. Light was still thrusting languidly, pumping the come as deep into L as he could, and L welcomed it. It was a filthy and lewd act of possessiveness, but L could've come again just from the intense look in Light's eyes.

Light looked to L's face, and suddenly saw how kissable those dusty pink lips were. With post-orgasm drowsiness, Light leaned down and devoured L's lips, tongues tangling sloppily in the other's mouth. L responded eagerly, creating tender yet steamy kiss that would definitely haunt their wet dreams for a while to come. L tasted of cream and the strawberries he'd been eating all day, and Light knew he tasted strongly of the late day dark roast he'd been drinking just before this. Thankfully L didn't seem to mind the bitterness, licking his lips as he pulled away from the kiss. Strings of saliva connected them, and they panted as each one broke.

Eyes like the night sky met warm amber, and Light felt his heart beat just a bit faster. He knew he liked L, loved him really. His mind was so fascinating, with a computing power that was nothing short of admirable even for Light. But with L focused completely on his work and the Kira case, anything more than a temporary relationship wasn't possible between them— that's what he had thought.

But something between them had changed as both Light and L turned to watch in bubbling arousal as Light pulled out from L's hole, large globs of thick, virile come oozing out and dripping onto the bed sheets and the tip of Light's dick. Suddenly ravenous again, L pounced on Light and slammed their mouths together, lining Light's hardening cock up with L's dripping hole.

Their rocky relationship had transformed into a friends with benefits situation, it seemed like a good way to make the most of this fleeting fling. L had regarded it as an experiment at first, having the perfect example of his 'type' chained to him seemed like a good opportunity to begin figuring himself out. But L's feelings didn’t exactly start out as professional and they quickly turned into anything but. The feeling of being intimate with Light was nothing short of a drug, and as they delved deeper into their sex life, L had began realizing it probably was for him.

Over the course of the Yotsuba investigation, Light noticed L's habbits slowly changing. It started out with forgoing their late-night work to have sex, and intimate touches becoming more and more common between them, to L wanting sex every night, going to the bathroom during work so L could suck Light off, and L always wanting to sit on his cock when they were working alone.

Light was turning L into a nymphomaniac that craved his dick every waking second, and he loved it.

L moaned in Light's lap as he orgasmed, panting in ecstasy and grinding down onto Light's cock like his life depended on it. They were in the surveillance room alone, the rest of the task force working a few floors below.

Seeing L so debauched was a rather common sight now, but a welcome one nonetheless. Flushed red, hair mussed more than usual, dilated black eyes, open mouth, red bitten nipples, weeping cock, and if L bent over, a gaping, rosey asshole with Light's come spilling out. Good God did Light love it.

"Fuck, so good." L placed his mouth on Light's, opening it and welcoming the entrance of Light's long tongue. The tongue that shoved itself down L's throat until he choked, or ate his ass as he bent over his desk late at night when everyone else had gone home. L shivered in want at the memory.

"Mnh." They broke apart with a wet kissing noise, saliva strings still connecting their red lips. L began shifting, and they both watched in satisfaction as Light's obscene cock popped out of L. Almost immediately, a river of spunk began gathering at the ring of L's ass. There were multiple loads, and neither Light nor L wanted it to end up on the floor.

Grabbing it from the table, Light immediately began pushing a plug into L. It was around his thickness, and looked like three big balls stacked ontop of the ruby plug base.

"Nhg, thank you, Light." L clenched around the oppressive plug, before slipping off Light's legs and onto his own shakey ones. He gathered his clothes, Light watching in smug possessiveness as L slipped on a pair of lacey crimson panties. They hugged the small distention in L's stomach nicely, and had an opening in the back that allowed Light access to L's hole. The amount of times L had creamed his panties while Light played with him, or Light came on the inside of them and made L squirm while they worked was uncountable.

L didn't put anything else on, he instead kneeled on the floor infront of Light's still hard cock and mockingly pouted.

"Please?"

Light chuckled, grabbing the back of L's head and forced him down on his cock. L choked, but moaned and began playing with Light's heavy balls. Light whined at the feeling, deciding to give L a little something. Reaching into his pocket and ignoring where his genitals were bursting from his open fly, Light pushed a button on a small remote.

Judging by the muffled squeal and L sticking his ass out, Light saw that L had figured out that the plug vibrated.

Light smirked down at his sub, who looked completely blissed out on his knees, serving him.

Of course, the simplicity of this arrangement came crashing down when Higuchi was captured, and Light regained his memories. At first, Light was obviously annoyed that he'd been fucking his sworn enemy without even knowing it, but the intense feelings that weren't all quite hatred had turned softer and sweet during his period of amnesia. He'd hated how his heart rate picked up when he remembered everything he and L did when they played their bedroom games, when they'd casually touch eachother as they worked, or of the quiet mellow moments post coitus when they'd divulge their deepest truths to one another in hushed tones.

He was Kira, to be so close with someone like this was disgraceful— muchless with his enemy, whom he'd given up his memories for in a plot to kill!

But, this new mushy-feely side of him argued, isn't this perfect? Isn't this what you'd always wanted? To have an equal, someone that can understand you and be on your level? Someone you can love and love you in turn? These feelings aren't fake, they just didn't get the chance to bloom because of your overpowering hatred. Even for all of his flaws that will never not frustrate you, you love him. He is what you'd longed for in your childhood, your perfect match. Can you throw this away without destroying yourself in turn?

No, Light realized quickly in horror, he couldn't. The very idea of standing infront of L's grave, gloating over his lonely victory...

It made him sick.

And, the mushy part that had already began merging with his usual self-serving and analytical personality began, think of the benefits of turning L to your side.

What better partner could Light ask for than someone who was not only his intellectual equal, but also his perfect romantic and sexual fit? L had completely given himself to Light, even knowing with certainty that Light was Kira. They had bonded into something beyond their game, and Light realized with surprise and hope that the chances of turning L to his side weren't completely zero.

How many times had L told him that he and Kira were so similar, that he might have done what Kira was doing if he'd been given that power. While L had divulged he was adverse to killing, he still sent people to their executions. That was more experience than Light had had when he wrote his first names, not to mention L's slightly sadistic tendencies towards people he felt had wronged him.

And Light could always read between what L said, especially as he got to know him better. For all he talked about bringing Kira to justice, how much of it was for his own selfish curiosity, or his desire to be the single most powerful figure of justice again, to be in control again? L talked of the death toll like an after thought, obviously not his main concern.

They were so similar, Light thought with his first fond grin since he'd gotten his memories back. They truely were monsters of a pair.

Kira had nearly won, and it wasn't too late. L just had to take a leap of faith, and Light would be there to catch him on the other side. They could be together for the rest of their lives, ruling the earth together as it's Gods.

Light wanted to make L his co-ruler.

As Light began moving, he noticed L seemed defeated. He'd been avoiding Light the last few days, even releasing them both from the handcuffs. It was obvious to him that L thought Light was going to kill him. Thankfully, Light had been able to dissuade Rem from killing L, and he'd promised he'd break up with Misa, take the second death note, and leave her alone. After all, he'd fallen for L. Whether Rem wanted to return her memories using a piece of her note or not, was up to her.

He'd been surprised when the female shinigami had given him a look of slight fondness and relief, expressing her gratitude for letting Misa stay safe and keep her now only slightly longer than normal lifespan intact. She'd shocked him further when Rem had essentially given him her blessing to continue as Kira, and assured him that she would use her rank to talk to the shinigami king and make sure no more Death Notes would be dropped into the human realm.

When Light had skeptically asked why, Rem replied,

"When you gave the Death Note to Higuchi, I finally understood what you meant by the human realm being rotten. Never before have I seen such needless greed and cruelty at the expense of innocent people, and when I learned how to use computers, I was able to gain a better understanding of human history. Shinigami were always taught that most humans were cruel and selfish by nature, but I now understand that's not true. Humans can be kind and caring, and it is only a small minority that are truely evil. They are the ones that started the wars, that let people live in horrendous conditions, that hurt others for fun, or for their own gain. By getting rid of them, you protect people like Misa and stop more from getting hurt. I understand now, Light Yagami, and I think that your goal is noble. That is why I will help you, and protect you from any shinigami influence. That includes Ryuk, I'll keep an eye on him to make sure he keeps both you and your beloved's name out of his note."

Rem had retrieved the Death Note in the apple orchard for him, and left an incredibly grateful Light behind as she went to watch over Misa.

Light sighed contently as he climbed the stairs up to the roof, finally things were moving along. Soon he would rule the world, L by his side. That is, if he could find and convince the detective. He'd looked in all of their regular hangout spots already, but apparently L didn't want Light to find him.

Light finally got to the top of the stairway, and he opened the heavy door out to the pouring rain. Standing alone and drenched in the middle of the roof, was L. He seemed far off, his eyes gazing at something beyond Light's sight. But even as his mind was far away, Light was struck with just how beautiful L was, even (especially) with his clothes and hair weighted down by water. He was ethereal, his thin shirt was transparent and showed L's milky skin, the water droplets glistening along his cheeks and long dark eyelashes, his hair completely wet and curled along his slender neck and hollow cheek bones.

What struck Light was the redness around L’s eyes, and the misty look they had to them. Had he been crying?

Light tried yelling out to L when he turned to Light, but L just held his hand to his ear. Since L couldn't hear, Light walked out to L even as he himself got soaked.

"What are you doing out here? You're soaked." L just smiled sadly, turning to look outwards again.

"My apologies, I've just been ditracted by the bells. They've been ringing all day, and I can't seem to figure out where they're coming from." Light didn't know exactly what L was talking about, but he could recognize the defeated tone. L looked down, and Light stayed silent.

Light swallowed to try and moisturize his suddenly dry mouth, but played along with L's non-speak.

"Ryuuzaki, you're not making any sense." L just smiled again, and Light knew he didn't imagine the lone tear that dropped from L's eye to join the rest of the water.

"I suppose you're right, I'm not making much sense, am I?" L faced completely away from him, his shoulders shuddering as he took a breath. His voice was faint yet carried a hoarse undertone, and Light fought against the urge to go and physically comfort him. It could be construed as an attempt at manipulation, and Light wanted to have a completely honest talk.

"No, you're not. But I know not to take everything you do seriously, or there'd be no end to my troubles." Light kept his tone light, and invited L to open up.

"Funny, I could say the same thing about you. Tell me, has there ever been a moment in your life when you've actually told the truth?" L didn't change his tone, yet the words were cutting.

Ah, so that's what this was about.

"No." Light answered after a pause, and he met L's gaze when the other man looked back at him. "I'm not a very honest person, not really. I've lied all of my life, you know this. I'd even go as far as saying I can lack prudence at times, I can lie to the point that I forget who I am. The truth." Light broke their stare, and found himself looking out at the horizon as L had been moments previously.

"You didn't answer my question." Light stayed silent at that, looking for the right words to answer the loaded question.

"I may lie a lot, but when I'm talking with you, I find that truth gets drawn out of me. I look into your eyes and find falsehoods fade into nothing on my tongue, and I want nothing more than to speak truthfully to you." Light spoke to prove his point, his true feelings given plainly to L.

L continued to motionless stare at Light, and Light met his gaze again. Those black eyes felt like they were peering into his soul, silently judging if it would be worth it to actually trust him. Thousands of words were exchanged in their locked eyes, arguments, confessions, promises.

"You swear?" It was a whisper, one which would have been drowned out by the pelting rain if not for the sheer amount of tentative hope that exuded from it. There were many meanings behind those two words, but Light knew what he meant.

For the first time he could remember, Light let his schooled expression slip away. He opened himself up completely, and he could tell when L finally believed him as L looked into his honey coloured eyes.

"I swear." L smiled then, not the smirk he gave when he was smug about something, but the kind of smile that you can't control and brightens your face. Light felt the exact same smile take hold on his face, just as he was sure his eyes weren't the only ones tearing up.

L didn't rush and jump into his arms like in movies, instead slowly walking up to him until they were in arms reach of eachother. L raised a long fingered hand to cup Light's cheek, still staring, before both of his arms reached to embrace him. Light reciprocated immediately, and buried his nose in the crook of L's neck as they began to rock slightly. Light sniffed.

"I love you." Light couldn't stop himself from saying it, repeating the mantra into L's wet neck as though the words would sear their truth onto the pale skin. L prompted Light to lift his head, gently nudging their foreheads together.

"I love you too, Light." L's eyes twinkled with a happiness that hadn't existed in him during the case, a weight had been lifted off of both of them.

Light's eyes widened when L slowly sunk to his knees however, leaning on Light and grasping his pant legs. He looked up at Light, mischievous eyes peeking up as he pressed his wet cheek onto the warm fabric.

"And Kira," L said it flat out, and Light nearly protested out of habbit, until he heard the rest of L's sentence. "I submit to you."

Light stared blankly for moments, never dreaming it would be this simple.

"Oh thank god," Light crouched down. "That makes this part much easier." Light caressed L's jaw, before gathering both of his hands and cupping L's between them. Light watched in exasperation as excitement entered L's dark eyes, even if L knew Light loved him and wouldn't kill him, he'd expected L to need more convincing.

Guess not.

"My new world is on the horizon, Kira's kingdom will soon reign supreme. However, I don't want to rule alone. L, will you join me and rule along side me?"

"Yes, Kira. I will." Light laughed at that.

"You don't have to call me Kira, Light is fine. Plus, it's probably not good to get into the habbit."

"And what will Kira do if I don't stop?" Ah, there's the smirk. Light sighed, before chuckling and giving L one of his eviler grins that he always had to repress. He watched in amusement as arousal entered L's eyes.

"I fucking knew it, you have a Kira kink." L couldn't stop the chuckle, and was helpless to stop Light from planting a smooch on his mouth. This easily turned into a long, heartfelt kiss.

Soon though, their hands became adventurous and they found themselves stripped of soaked clothes. Light quickly prepared L with the lube he kept in his pocket, pleased to feel how pliable yet tight L was even after these few days.

Their love making was the most honest it had ever been, all of Light had finally been laid bare. In a way it was relieving, but completely nerve wracking at the same time.

L didn't mind Light's sudden increase in roughness, actually leaning into the animalistic claiming bites that Light littered all over his chest and shoulders. Even as Light came back up with red stained teeth and a wicked grin, L only choked out a moan. It didn't take long for L to come, clawing desperately at Light's tan back and screaming as Light continued to play with his body.

After Light followed L into orgasm, they carefully made their way up to their room before they got hypothermia. After drying off and cuddling up together in their bed, L was drawing little patterns in Light's chest with his index finger.

"I was right, Kira sex is better than repressed Light sex." L got a pillow to the face for that one.

With their newly formed partnership, things became fun. At this point L and Light were relying on the incompetence of the taskforce to begin building the foundation of their kingdom in secret, running laps around the people that had only been useful in the investigation because L had been leading them. Light had let L touch both of the Death Notes, giving him ownership of the second one Rem had dropped off. He could now see Ryuk, and L wondered to himself how Light had put up with that thing for months on end.

But truthfully, L was quite excited for the future. He and Light would be building something that the human race had never seen completed before, a completely united world empire under one dynasty. L had only been against Kira because of ego, not that he disagreed with Light's ideals. Both of them had fought because they had wanted to be the single justice, but now they could see how much greater they were together.

L shivered in a sort of ecstasy as he pondered the power he would soon obtain, not having felt like this since he had situated himself as the world's greatest detective. After awhile the novelty had worn off and he became bored and lonely once again, but now with Light, and the possibilities of the supernatural, L didn't think things could get boring ever again.

He would be the ruler of the world, standing beside Kira as equals. Subservient to no one, besides Light and their games. L had been a tad surprised when Light had revealed that he had planned to make L his co-ruler even before L had submitted, the plan of killing him long since evaporated.

"Even if you didn't join me, I couldn't kill you. I've grown to love everything about you, your personality, your intelligence, looks, and touch. Perhaps it's unhealthy, but I don't think I could live without you, not truely. I love you from the bottom of my blackened heart L, my one true love."

And so, as the day that Kira would conquer the world drew closer, L and Light were busied with organizing Kira's worshipers. They had to be situated in higher up positions in the current governments to ensure a legitimate transfer of power to Kira, though some countries had already surrendered. Once all of those countries were under control, they would then deal with the rebellious ones.

When they weren't dealing with such things or the task force, L and Light stepped into their fantasies together. They had sex as they thought about the idea of total power and dominance, the ability to finally enact their justice, the idea of being treated like living gods. Perhaps L should've felt shame for such ideas, but he only felt lost in pleasure when he and Light made love.

Faster than they thought, all of the pieces fell into place. Now, they only had to take the leap and reveal themselves. This was their ascension to power, so they had to do it right.

And milk it for all it was worth.

L called a meeting as the sun began setting on the brisk November day, the clear skies giving one last hurrah before the clouds of winter buried the land.

The task force members and Watari were confused as they entered a comfortable living room on the top floor, the bloody orange sunset shining through the floor to ceiling window creating a warm yet unsettling atmosphere in the softly furnished area. L and Light were lounging on a couch, facing away from the window. They looked extremely comfortable together on the sofa, with Light reading a novel and L messing with his laptop. This wasn't unordinary, the two men nearly cuddling with eachother on the other hand was.

"Ryuuzaki, Light? What's going on, why'd you call us up here?" Sweet, naive Matsuda broke the silence, oblivious to the imperious aura that the two young men on the couch emitted.

"Everyone, please take a seat. Light and I have an important announcement to make." L looked a bit peeved at not being the one to get the first word, but cordially continued on.

"We have been hunting Kira just shy of a year now, and it has been a trying journey for sure. You've all worked very hard and I am pleased to tell you," L paused as Light pulled out a bottle of champagne from beside them. "We have won."

They all froze, before their astonished exclamations sounded out. Had the real Kira been caught? When on earth had this happened? Why did they only hear about this now?

"So this means you know who Kira is? Where is the bastard?"

Light was pouring himself and L a glass of champagne when the detective answered in his monotonous voice.

"Yes we do, and he's here." Outraged shouts about not being informed began at once, but two of the occupants stayed silent and studied the younger men. They were casually drinking the sweet and fruity alcohol in silence, draped across the couch in an oddly intimate position. This was reinforced when Light reached over with his unoccupied hand to L's, grasping it lovingly and bring it to his lips to place a feather-light kiss on the pale knuckles. L actually smiled at the gesture, and Watari and Soichiro looked on in dawning horror at the different implications.

"Wait, what the hell's going on?" Everyone noticed something amiss at the display of affection, and Aizawa vocalized his growing anger. L sighed in a cruel, mocking manner.

"Light, it seems we will have to spell it out for them. How disappointing, I was hoping they would be able to figure it out for themselves." L took a sip of alcohol before fiddling with his laptop again, his eyes not masking his cold disdain. Light barked a laugh, but it sounded nothing like it usually would. Light's laugh was usually mild and kind, this one was harsh, cutting like a blade, and utterly ridiculing.

"I'm afraid you put much too demanding expectations onto people L, they don't have the brain capacity for such critical thinking." The insult was delivered like a slap, and they were left reeling at the rude words that had come out of Light's mouth.

"A sad truth indeed, Light. Why don't you tell them, this is your victory more than anyone's."

"Wait, what do you mean by— ... No..." The two genii watched in amusement as the taskforce understood one by one, Light chuckling maniacally.

"That's right," Light's low eyebrows were downturned, narrowing his red fox eyes further and complimenting his sharp vulpic grin. He looked like a predator whose prey had wandered right into his den, and completely opposite to the earnest young man they had grown to know Light as.

"I am Kira."

Those delicious words were projected through the room, words Light had wanted to hiss out and scream for so long. Finally, when men would gaze upon him they would show him the respect, the fear that Light had so ruthlessly cultivated. He would finally be known and connected to his holy kingdom, his beautiful and ideal world that he had painstakingly built up brick by brick. Even when he wept as his once untainted fingers became rough and bloody and pained with the work, he had persevered through the agony and his blood soaked ambitions were finally coming to fruition.

L gave a small smirk as he sent the signal to their guards through his laptop, whom were the best of the best, genuine underworld Japanese assassins. Yes, they had hired actual ninjas as their personal guard. As far as effectiveness went, they were the best of the best; trained in traditional martial arts as well as modern weaponry.

"But then... Ryuuzaki, you— you’re with Kira?!" Light had to keep himself from snickering at L's exasperated face as the detective perched himself on his lap, laptop closed and beside them as the detective finished off his champagne.

"Obviously." L smacked his lips at the taste of the alcohol, glaring at Matsuda for that stupid question. All of the taskforce was rigid and tense, trapped even if they didn't know it. Their guards would be breaking down the door soon, then Light and L could go to their new base.

"L," Watari stepped up stone faced, his eyes blank and concealing any emotions he felt at the betrayal. L and Light had placed their empty glasses on the coffee table infront of them, and were currently in eachothers embrace. L looked up at the man who had taken him in, given him a home and the opportunity to be great. "If you place your alliance with him, I will no longer follow you. Your place as the detective L will be revoked and passed on to your successors, and Wammy's will hold allegiance to you no longer. Are you going to give your life's work up?"

L just cocked his head, thumb on his lip as he gazed passively at his mentor.

"Why on earth would I only stay a detective when I could rule the world instead?"

Their men took that moment to appear, storming the room and detaining the detectives inside. L leaned into Light, planting a strong kiss onto those rose petal lips. It was heady, bordering on completely lustful and tasted of sweet victory. L made an appreciative noise as Light's hand crept from L's waist to his ass, and gave a teasing squeeze. In retaliation L put his weight on his left arm, which was wrapped around Light’s shoulder with his other arm. Light was distracted from the increase in pressure, and didn't notice L's right hand trailing down his chest until it caressed his dick. Light pulled back to glare at the mischievous looking detective, a half chub clearly rutting on L's inner thigh.

"We'll finish this later." Light whispered into L's ear, getting a shiver and a smirk for his troubles. L's abyss-dark eyes glimmered in the elation of winning, and Light was glad that the sight of L bathed in the firey glow of the dying old world was just as breath taking as he'd imagined.

Light looked behind L to where the detectives and Watari had been detained, looking outraged with Aizawa yelling explicitives at them. Watari was stoic, like some sort of soldier who had accepted his fate as an eventuality.

L didn't try to linger on the fact that Watari had been the one to take him in and give him a home, to be his confident and care taker. He instead tried to focus on every time the elder man had pushed him away when L tried to hug him, only showing him an affectionate hand on his shoulder when he solved a case, like he was some kind of investment that had payed off. Watari had been his handler, as though L was some kind of beast that had to be contained to solving cases.

And that had been fun, for a while, but now, Light had shown him more. Independence, power, and love. Shown him that his claws and fangs were nothing that he should hide away, but something he should flaunt, should use. And besides, it's not as though he was going to kill the man. He and Light had agreed to merely confining them until their power had been cemented.

Then they would be released, under probation of course. No need to risk them undermining their rule, but no harm would come to them.

Light attempted to ignore the way his father's eyes pierced into him, but found it a lost cause and met the older man's gaze as evenly as he could. Whatever Soichiro had been looking for didn't seem to be found, and his already weak resistance against his restraints sagged. It was if he was looking at a different person, and in a way, he was. For the first time when he looked into his son's eyes, the monster stared back. He didn't know what to say, one part of the man wanted to rage and demand why, the other wanted to curl up in shame. All he could manage was,

"Why?"

After everything, Light supposed, he at least deserved an answer.

"This world is rotting from the inside-out, and society is nothing but empty promises. We've tried the same model over and over again, and it ends the same way each time. Slaughter, blood, pain, death. And yet, the guilty never suffer for their sins. They are the victors, so they are not held accountable. This sentiment is then engraved into the society they created, allowing others to commit atrocities and get away with it as long as those on top benefit. I was granted the power to rid the world of people like that, who have forsaken their humanity, before they could slowly but surely destroy everything. Powerful people's actions are no longer inconsequential to the future, we have evolved to the point where a single person has the power to cause total extinction three times over. The earth has known nothing but destruction at our hands, but I intend to change that. With great power comes great responsibility, and if no one wants to acknowledge that, I will make them— even if I have to force them."

"What the hell are you even talking about, you insane bastard?!" Aizawa's unwanted input made Light's ears ring, and he let a hateful sneer creep onto his face. Aizawa really needed to learn when to keep his fucking mouth shut, he was monologing dammit!

Light looked away from his father, grateful for the distraction in the form of the loudmouth. He glared at Aizawa, and it seemed the man realized he doesn't want to be the focus of Light's ire. Too bad.

"Ever since I had joined the investigation, you've been running your mouth as if you have anything worthwhile to contribute. But all you ever do is yell, as though being loud will make up for the fact that you're a moronic idiot with no original ideas." Light walked over to the man, who was hand cuffed on his stomach and looking up at him with fear in his eyes. "Let me impart some advice."

Without hesitation, Light swung his foot forward as fast and hard as he could. It landed in Aizawa's side, and Light heard the man gasp in pain as he was flung onto his back.

"Shut—."

Light stomped on his solar plexus, making Aizawa flounder for air.

"— Your—."

Light quickly changed his footing so that he was able to swing his leg to clock Aizawa in the jaw, causing Aizawa to let out a pained grunt.

"— Fucking—!"

Light stopped his barrage of abuse by stomping on the size of Aizawa's face, pining the man beneath his shoe.

"— MOUTH!"

"Aizawa!"

L watched avidly as Light beat Aizawa's ass, enjoying the show. It was something he had wanted to do himself a couple times, but watching Light get all worked up and do it for him was something he found equally as satisfying.

He flushed a little as he saw Light breathing heavily, his eyes intense and pinpricked in anger. They shone like blood in the light of the dusk, which confused L a bit since Light's amber eyes didn't have much red in them. Light's unhinged snarl quickly pulled his attention back though, and L conceded that perhaps he did have a Kira kink after all.

"You ask why I'm doing this, father?" Light turned halfway to Soichiro, his heel still digging into Aizawa's rapidly bruising face.

"It's because someone has to knock some sense into humanity, and I'm really going to enjoy doing it." Light looked delightfully misanthropic as he removed his shiny leather shoe from Aizawa's face, smiling like Lucifer himself into his father's horrified eyes.

"You won't get away with this!" Everyone turned to Matsuda, who had dramatic tears streaming down his face. What a useless baby, L thought to himself. "Both of you, someone will stop you!"

"Oh but Matsuda," L couldn't resist speaking up with his own wicked smile, enjoying the ability to finally speak freely to the idiot who had caused him nothing but trouble. "We already have."

"Take them away."

The taskforce was removed from the room with varying degrees of difficulty, but their loyal subordinates didn't tolerate the struggling and removed them all in seconds. The fact that they were all in a shocked state of disbelief definitely made it easier.

Light came up to L, looking like the God he proclaimed himself as in the orange sunlight.

"We had better get going, let's grab the Death Notes and go. It would be best not to keep the Cult waiting." Light offered a hand, a charming smile on his lips.

L smiled back and grasped it tightly.

The cackle of Light's annoying shinigami filled his ears.

They were driven around Tokyo, switching cars multiple times to avoid tracking, until they ended up in the back of an ordinary looking SUV. They drove out of Tokyo, and into the Japanese alps mountain range. The drive was several hours, and they both found themselves getting fidgety in anticipation. They had to resist engaging in their... illicit activities because they weren't alone, and no self respecting rulers would be caught dead in such situations by their subordinates.

Eventually, they came upon a particular mountain, and drove up the dirt path along it. While the trip was mind numbing (and annoyingly ear popping because of the constant changes in altitude), the scenery was very beautiful, the lack of artificial light allowing the night sky to shine, outlining the rocky horizon.

They reached a dead end, but the driver pushed a button on the vehicle and a large mechanical flap began rising up, revealing an underground road. They went down inside, making sure the flap closed and locked before continuing. The passed a few guards that were likely both inside and out guarding the entrance, just like they had designed.

As it turns out, Kira had quite a few rich benefactors in his Cult that wanted to throw their money at him. That, combined with the accounts L had loaded full with a large percentage of his wealth, and the money Light had had organized criminals deposit in his private accounts under the influence of the Death Note, they were extremely capable of having a top secret base built.

They came to a final stop in what looked like a garage, and immediately two people came up and opened their respective doors. Knowing it was show time, L and Light made sure to keep their expressions completely impassive. L had his usual bored look adorning his pale face, giving the impression you weren't even worth his attention.

Light seemed sterner, his manner screamed that he expected nothing but excellence— and failing to do so would raise his ire that constantly bubbled below the surface.

Both were surprisingly truthful.

The small gathering of people watched them with reverent eyes, but wasted no time in lowering themselves to grovel before them.

"Your Radiences." The man that had to be the head priest greeted, for he had been the one mainly communicating with them during the construction. L found it endlessly amusing how many different adressals the Cult used for Kira, and kept a mental note to see when one would be recycled. Light found humor in it as well, but he did like some of them. It appealed to his position (and God complex, L teasingly added) as Kira.

Telling them about L had been humorous as well, because L had largely been regarded as the ultimate blasphemer or something. How ever, since Light's word was Kira's word was law to them, they had acted like L was some God of wisdom that had captured Kira's heart. Neither of them looked too close into it in fear of loosing important braincells, but as long as the Cult followed them, they could believe whatever they wanted.

"High Priest," Light's commanding air was stifling and instantly captured everyone's attention, and L briefly marveled at how this all enrapturing presence was so masterfully hidden behind Light's facade. "I trust that everything is ready?"

"Yes, Lord Kira." L imagined the man as an obedient dog, not finding much difference from the eager man flapping his head in front of them. "Just say the word and the broadcast will go live."

"Excellent." Light paused briefly, before continuing. "And what of the two women?"

"They arrived roughly an hour ago, and should be waking up soon." Light nodded, but said nothing else on the subject. L knew exactly who the two women were, Sachiko Yagami and Sayu Yagami. Light had wisely decided to take them in for protection, as when the world learned of his identity, they would be put in danger of attacks. He'd rather them hate him for the rest of their lives, then for them to be killed.

"Let us depart, there is much to do and very little time." Another adressal (this one highnessess, not that original in L's opinion) and they were off, the two admiring the tasteful designs.

They were lead to an opulent office, which was filled with high tech computers, head sets, and a team of tech experts (professional hackers) that would help the two of them manage the sheer volume of work that was about to befall them. Thankfully they had decided to rest before all of this, which would be enough for them to power through.

Light wasted no time in choosing one of the two nicer seats at the center of the room, putting a headset on and checking his watch.

After a minute, and L settled in beside him, the timer went off. Now.

Light wasted no time barking out orders to his half of the hackers, rattling off the contact each one was assigned. They relayed his orders to the people on the other sides of the screens, L backing him up by managing the other half.

This had to go perfectly, after all, they were going to be systematically taking over the countries that are under unethical authoritarian rules.

By killing the dictator and his main enforcers.

This had taken some of the most time during the prep stage, as now each of the dead were able to be succeeded by the moles L and Light had previously placed.

It took awhile, but they got the confirmation of success just five minutes before the second timer went off. L and Light looked to eachother in determination, interweaving their hands with a silent promise of stress relief when this was over.

One down, fifty one to go.

The world was in chaos.

Overnight, all known dictatorships across the world had been ended, the leaders of the regimes having dropped dead.

Of heart attacks.

The UN had announced an emergency meeting, as had NATO. It had been agreed that holding a meeting at the same time and place would be more efficient considering the state of panic.

Emiko Tanaka rubbed her eyes, silently marveling at how her life had progressed in the last year. She'd graduated from Daikoku private academy with extremly high honors earlier that year, and with some connections was granted an internship with some Japanese government officials while she did her undergraduate. Despite Kira being around, things were going well for her. Being born well off and with powerful friends opened doors, and she was grateful for it.

Well, maybe not at the moment. While she wasn't anywhere close to involved with the discussions taking place, she had been dragged along due to the short notice, which caused many more qualified people unable to go. She was only here as a glorified secretary, more akin to an assistant.

She tried to keep from fidgeting as she listened to the arguing officials, mind worrying over the implications of Kira's most damaging attack yet. Since each of the countries had fallen, they had recieved no contact with anyone from their governments. It was largely assumed that they had all fallen into anarchy, but Emiko didn't think so.

This was Kira after all, the otherworldly being that was able to kill with heart attacks from anywhere in the world, who had been engaging in a battle of wits with L himself for almost a year. Why would he make such a bold move, if he was not able to control the outcome?

She shook her head as she tried to bring herself back to the present, it was no use freaking out about what ifs.

Besides, it wasn’t like Kira was taking over the world, right?

Emiko was just tuning into the main conversation when the UN symbol on the giant center screen flickered red, the smaller surrounding screens quickly following suit. The enormous circular room was bathed in the color of blood, and as everyone was loudly questioning what was going on, she saw four black english letters that sent ice down her veins.

K I R A.

Nearly just as quickly as it appeared, the chilling screen was replaced with a startlingly juxtaposing scene. It was an office, painted with a warm brown pallet of various shades. The visible wall was almost beige, and only had two rectangular curtains on each side of the frame. The desk was a deep mahogany, red gleaming from the polished wood. It was sparsely adorned, only some papers and a pen visible. It was what was behind the desk that made Emiko's eyes go wide, sitting in a tall, black leather office chair, and standing out against it like a shining star. A face that she couldn't forget as her highschool valedictorian, and widely regarded genius.

Light Yagami.

She fleetingly thought it could be someone else, but that gorgeous smile that made everyone around it fall to their knees in awe flashed on the screen. All hopes of it being a different person were dashed, that smile couldn't be emulated.

"Greetings, people of the world. I am Light Yagami, but I'm sure most of you know me by a different name." Light's eyes opened from where they were squinting in a smile, revealing gleaming ruby irises that hadn't been like that a year ago. His grin was more subdued, but unmistakably smug in a sinister manner.

"Kira."

The unspoken truth was confirmed, and Emiko could see that the officials around her were in a similar state of shock. Even if they didn't know Light Yagami personally, the fact that Kira had just revealed his identity was immensely startling. And a very bad omen.

"I'm sure that by now the news of the dictator's deaths have reached the world, and I'm here to confirm that their countries are now under my control."

Dear god. Kira continued on as the realizations about the man power he now held struck each individual in the room.

"However, I would like to put any concern about the weapons of mass destruction I now control to rest. Under no circumstances will they be used, and after everything has settled, I can promise they will be disposed of as soon as possible when the means are acquired." Wait, what?

"I also understand being hesitant to believe me, and I understand that my... colleague, may have more credibility in your eyes." The screen changed again, this time to a familiar white and black. An old gothic L came onto the screen, and gasps echoed.

"Hello," A familiar modulated voice came onto the screen, the voice scrambler's tone matching exactly with the one used during the Lind L. Tailor incident. "I am L."

"However, I'm sure that's obvious. Though, Kira does not lie about his intentions with the weapons."

The screen cut back to Yagami, who did nothing but smile.

"If he were," A voice off screen chimed in, deeper than the modulated, but carrying the same tone and speech pattern. A man came on camera behind the desk, sitting oddly in the second chair that Emiko hadn't noticed had been added. He had messy, pitch black hair and eyes that stared into your soul, and was as pale as a ghost. His spindly body was dressed in a casual white shirt and jeans, and was bare foot, a very shocking figure. L continued when he was settled, "I would know."

"After all, we are working together."

"L, and Kira are together?"

"That's L?" Many people were whispering, disbelieving.

How the hell did he do it? How could Kira convince L to join him when the other man had pledged to send Kira to his death?

"Our goal is to bring peace, not wield bombs that will cause millions of innocent casualties. I do kill, yes, those that have forsaken their humanity by committing atrocities against their fellow man hold no place in this world. And while it is cruel, it must be done. However, I'm sure many have realized that ridding the world of criminals in not enough." Kira's remorseful and almost kind expression withered away like it never existed, and Emiko wondered just how many people Light Yagami has deceived.

"No, how can a better world be created when the ones who lead this unjust world are left to their devices? When the ones who allow and create this corruption do not face the consequences? I have already dealt with the unredeemable, and it is now that we look to democracy for further action. You the people, the ones that built the world we live in on your blood, sweat, and tears, we look to you to decide your fates."

Emiko felt shivers down her spine as she listened to Kira's incentive words, they were like poison that invaded her brain and gave her no choice but to listen. How masterfully manipulative, to give the illusion of choice.

He was forcing an election, a world wide election to vote Kira into power. If there was a vote, it would be an overwhelming majority that elected him in. And if a country didn't hold an election, he could kill the leader under the pretence of undermining democracy.

"If you let us, we will create a world free of the disgusting rot that has plagued us for so long. We will erase poverty, white collared crime, extortion, rape, murder, and everything that stands in the way of the society we deserve." Kira smiled, victorious in its edges and taunting everywhere else.

"The choice, is yours."

The screen went red again, before going back to the UN symbol that never should have left. In the silent room, you could almost hear an echoing, mocking laughter.

Oh, they were fucked.

"Your Majesties, the United States has officially surrendered to your rule."

"Oh fuck-!" L screwed his eyes shut at Light's sudden rough thrust, grunting at the abuse to his sensitive insides. L steadied himself from where he was kneeling over Light's lap, his back pressed into Light's chest. They were in their own private office, near the top of the hidden tower inside the mountain. The floor to ceiling window gave a stunning view of the mountains at night, the stars their personal audience.

After recombobulating, L resumed his bouncing. His trembling thighs were sore from use, having been doing this for close to half an hour. Wanting to focus on something other than the pain, L spoke up from between his breathy moans.

"W-Why was the US the one that got you so excited?" L knew there were probably many reasons, but Light tended to have unique views on things.

"They— mhm— could have caused the most trouble for us, considering how annoying they are about 'freedom.' But h-honestly, I'm just looking forward to bossing them around. They've been on their high-horse for way too long, it'll be fun to knock them down a peg or four." Light pinched L's nipple, rolling the already dark red bud between his fingers.

L whined, unable to get away due to the hand on his stomach. Even though his body had become used to the intrusion, Light still took up so much space inside him. He always marveled at the little bulge that formed in his stomach when he took Light to the root, unable to believe how full he was.

Light pressed on the top of the bulge, making them both groan in unison. L's hand fell on top of Light's, and his hole fluttered around the large intruder.

"God, I love, I love how you make me feel, I love your body, a-and I love your horrible personality. I just love you Light— all of you— so, so much!" L twisted his torso to kiss Light, the searing dance of their mouths allowing him enough reprise to turn his body towards Light completely.

Once L was finally sat on his lap, Light let him relax and stopped their pace. He could feel the detective's thighs twitch from the long use, and began massaging the muscles as he broke the kiss.

"I love you too, L, more than anything." Light observed L in the bare starlight, the way his skin glowed, how glossy his hair was, and the way his pitch eyes absolutely sparkled as the twinkling stars reflected in his eyes. What a beautiful person, Light thought as he gently grasped L's lithe hand. He placed feathery kisses along the alabaster skin, leading down to the wrist and up the arm. Light kissed right in the center of L's collarbone, smiling and glancing up at L's face as the detective pinked ever so slightly. His eyes focused on Light's, glittering like the night sky. L's flushed lips curved up in contentment, and he leaned down to recapture Light's freed lips with his own in a soft and lingering kiss.

"L," Light whispered, his wandering fingers still mapping out the body before him. "You are my equal, my only one." His hands trailed up L's chest and to his neck, before cupping L's face. He rubbed the soft skin of his cheeks with his thumb, still focused on his eyes.

"You submitted to Kira, L, but you have become Kira too. Just as in some ways I am L, Kira and L are now together. We are one in the same, yet different, two sides of the same coin. You hold just as much sway as I, so please never feel you are any less in status in our new world. The only time you will ever be submissive to me, will be the bedroom." Light bumped their noses together in affection, and L chuckled as he wrapped his arms around Light’s neck.

"Yes, Light, I understand." As wonderful as this moment was, his burning arousal couldn't be ignored any longer. L tried to lift himself up on his tired thighs, but before he could do so, felt Light grasp hold of his thighs and begin thrusting up. He sucked in a startled gasp, but let Light continue as he let out low hums.

"And what was that about a 'horrible personality?' I'll have you know I'm delightful to be around." Even as Light thrusted particularly hard a couple times, L couldn't help but giggle.

"Yes, I'm sure those hackers you verbally thrashed for the last ten hours are just bursting in adoration for you." Light squeezed L's thighs enough to bruise even as he smirked, their teasing sessions were so much fun.

"Brat."

"I can confirm that I'm older than you, Light."

"And yet, here you are, being a brat."

Their night of victory continued for several more hours, until every country in the world had bowed down to Kira. The marathon of sex ended in their giant double king poster bed, the creeping dawn casting golden rays upon them through the sheer veils of the bed as Light came inside L for the last time that night. L's release was already plastered on his stomach, and they both passed out, falling asleep in eachothers arms that now held the reigns to the entire world.

Never let it be said that you could change things over night, even if you ruled the world. They worked, at minimum, twelve hour days for three months before the first Planetary Senate meeting was even held, outlining and drafting hundreds of new laws. Their purposes varied from fighting against corruption in law, to creating stricter punishments for crimes like murder, rape, assault, sexual assault, and abuse, creating protection for marginalized groups from country to country, plans for solving world hunger, solving poverty, drafting an absolutely mandatory plan for environmental reconstruction and preservation, and making a serious list of reforms that would be happening.

Forming the senate had been a strenuous affair itself, first having to purge the world's governments of corrupt officials, then having each country elect three senators from each of their parties to represent them. There was to be a senate meeting once a month, besides the emergencies, and a senate building had been built in each country that wanted one, which was a lot of them. Their meetings were held on random days of the month and at a random country, which made it harder for potential terrorists to plan an attack. Each building, when in use, was also equipped with L and Kira's enormous defense force. They checked the building ahead of time and closely monitored the whole event incognito, as the public tended to be crowding around the building in the duration of the proceedings.

Light didn't think he would ever forget his first in-person public appearance as Kira, which was probably one of the largest global events to date. Japan's Planetary Senate building had been been a top priority project for the country, as it had been where the first meeting had been held. It had been built on time though, in the center of Tokyo, and it was a beauty of Japanese architecture.

The flashing cameras, the thousands of people that had shown up to try and get even a glimpse of their new gods, soul rumbling cheering as they stepped out of their limousine, their names being chanted and yelled...

Light had made sure to leave an impression— with clothes, killing randomly in public would be a PR nightmare— and had dressed in a dark red suit and waist coat that were micro patterned with rose flower designs, a black shirt, and white tie along with some gold suit accessories and shiny black, leather shoes. Similarly, L had been in a black suit with a baby blue shirt and white tie. He and L had made a deal that as long as it was comfortable and didn't embarrass him, L would let Light make him wear whatever he wanted. And as Light hoped to influence high fashion in the future, that was perfect for him.

The complete shock the world had been in after L and Light had presented their plans was amusing for the both of them, as they had been fairly anticipated to be uncaring for most people. But the two of them proved expectations wrong as they presented their humanitarian bills and plans to rebuild the world into a better place, and their approval rantings shot up way passed what they had expected.

They were especially popular with younger people, who (mostly in North America) didn't need to hear much more than "affordable housing and living" before they threw their coin in with Kira. They made this abundantly clear on the rising social media apps, though L thought that the people on Tumblr were the funniest. Light agreed of course, but he didn't think it respectable if he outwardly showed how much he adored those ridiculous fancams of them.

The implementations of their laws and bills went smoothly, and other than some quickly silenced protests from certain bigots that were upset that everyone was being treated with equity, everyone was quite happy with how things were going. Quality of life all around the world was improving, people were finally being protected, and the environment was steadily healing.

Light and L had found out rather early in their relationship that both of them were fans of science and the fiction that comes of it. They followed the latest discoveries and projects that happened around the global science community, and used to stargaze on the roof while they traded their astronomy and or Star Wars knowledge.

So it was to neither of their surprise, but perhaps to the people's, that Kira and L put a large amount of funding into scientific endeavors. Light could especially tell just how surprised some of the scientists he communicated with were, as they were probably only ever consulted on things when it could make a profit.

The result of this arrangement ended up forcing the world to stop manufacturing and harvesting harmful materials to the planet, mass replanting and restoration to the environment and its inhabitants, and truely gigantic amounts of funding being thrown at different revenues of clean energy.

And the giant corporations and super rich? Well, they started getting angry and pushing back. Of course, turns out you don't get that rich unless you do some... unethical things, things that Kira happily punished them for. This ended up launching a crusade against 'behind the scenes' crime as well, yet another thing the people cheered them for.

Systemic Racism became all but eradicated as well, the only thing remaining of that were the people that supported those views. Of course, such people found it near impossible to be open about it since there were multiple laws forbidding discrimination that were implemented.

The LGBTQ+ community found a similar protective sentiment was embedded in laws pertaining to them, and the world was given a not-super-surprising shock when Kira and L showed up to Tokyo's 2008 Pride Parade while being sweetly affectionate to eachother and cheering on the people in the parade.

Since the world was becoming a peaceful place, with wars stopped (and all of those terrible weapons of mass destruction dismantled), the earth healing, and more people than ever being able to live worry free, they mutually decided to get married.

Oh, but what about crime you may be asking? Well, since Kira was literally ruling the earth, most crime had dwindled down to almost nothing compared to what it was. Of course, there were still horrible things happening, with the people behind it being incredibly sneaky and slippery, but that's where L came in. He never stopped being a detective, and he regularly dealt with the high profile cases between his other duties in ruling with Light. He utilized the completely reformed police force (that now acted more as peacekeepers) as his support, along with Light when he wasn't busy, and L didn't think he'd ever grow bored.

Their wedding... well, if their first appearance as L and Kira was one of the largest, then the ceremony was the biggest event in global history.

They decided to have it on April 5th 2009, the two year anniversary of the day they met. At first they thought of doing a more private ceremony, but their personal assistant practically had a fit when they told her that.

"Sirs, you are literally the nouveau royalty of the world— nearly everyone is dying to see this wedding! Please reconsider having it private!" She had practically been on her knees, and when the rest of their personal and trustworthy staff had supported her argument, they had relented.

Even though they had both wanted to do it in the United Kingdom as a nod to where L was raised, they decided that doing it in the Cathedral of Justice (Kira's main church in Japan— no they did not pick that name) would be safer considering that Wammy's was in the UK. While they looked forward to that game when it started, there was no need to tempt them too early.

And oh, had it been beautiful.

The grand architecture of the church, golden streams of sunlight coming down through the stained glass roof, the expensive yet tasteful decorations and accents, the white rose petals that fluttered down from the top side decks, the sheer amount of flowers, and eachother— all of it had had the world (and themselves, honestly) in awe.

Several of their favorite Bach string pieces had been playing live, the altar absent of both of them. Light remembered seeing Sayu practically glowing in excitement in her new dress, the princess of their empire eagerly fitting into her role. When Light had come to see them when he had took them in for protection, both of them had been shocked, but not as much as they should have been. They had both confessed they knew he was up to something during those early months with the Death Note, but didn't exactly think it would be this. While his mother hadn't been too keen on the fame that came with her son's position, Sayu embraced it with the passion only an extrovert could have. She had agreed to continue her education as a future diplomat and princess, while Sachiko was happy to live the rest of her days in peace at their palace in Japan with her children. Since Soichiro had disappeared, she didn't really have anywhere else to go. And it's not like she ever really saw her husband, anyways.

Of course, she couldn't miss her son's wedding. So she sat right next to Sayu, all done up as well.

When the doors to the Cathedral opened, and the opening horns of the Wedding March sounded, many of the high standing people in the seating rows made sounds of amazement.

L and Light were arm in arm as they walked down the isle, their suits bright white, however this was where the normalcy of the outfit ended. On both of their suit, flowers and vines made out of gold and silver curled around their right shoulder and under their left lapels and waist. Light's was gold, and L's silver of course. The flower designs on their shoulder curled back and swirled down the long, trailing mantles that were adorning their shoulders, the trains around ten feet long.

L's hair wasn't that different than usual in public, his wild locks still styled to look purposefully messy. However this time, matching with Light, little white gems were placed in his hair. They sparked like little stars as they walked, and they matched the gems that adorned their faces. Their makeup was natural other than the respective silver and gold designs, with Light having moon and flower iconography, and L with stars and flowers. In total, they looked radiant.

They stepped up the alter together, letting go of eachothers arms in favor of clasping eachothers hands. The officiator began his lines, but L and Light may as well have been lost in their own world. They said their vows, leaving out the details of how exactly they came to love one another for the public's sake, but with all of the emotion shining through.

The rings were near completely flat for convenience sake, but no less beautiful for it. In each were a single diamond no larger than a pea, and inset in a gold or silver pair of engraved wings on the metal. They were presented by Sayu, who gave each of them a congradulatory grin. However, they were not finished with just the rings.

Once they had been exchanged and put on eachothers' ring fingers, two more people came up, each carrying a pillow with a crown on top. Just like with the rings, they put the other's diadem on their head as the officiator rambled on. Light's was gold with diamonds and bright red rubies, shaped more like a tiara, and had many moon shapes and roses in the complex design. L decided to follow Light suit on the shape, his silver with diamonds and bright blue sapphires, and shared roses with Light's crown, along with star shapes.

They had opted for a less bulky set for their crown jewels, the heaviest being the diadem, and the more casual ones being light-weight circlets.

"And by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you Emperor Light Yagami and Emperor L Lawliet of the Aeternial Empire. Long may you reign, long may you watch over the people of earth, and cast judgment upon the wicked. May Kira and L be justice forevermore."

As the deafening cheers sounded from all around and inside the Cathedral, L and Light leaned forward and shared a kiss. It was only a touching of lips, but it tasted of power, love, and white roses.

They parted and turned to look at their people, smiling as they thought of what was to come. The game wasn't over quite yet, they just had to wait for their opponents' team to form. Of course they wouldn't be idle during that time either, and there have been some massive technological breakthroughs as of late.

This would be fun.

Notes:

I was thinking of adding another chapter, it'd take place after the Canon timeskip. If you want it, let me know!
