Summary
Fourteen-year-old Eddie Munson comes home from school in a bad mood. He only scored a forty-two on his English test at school, despite studying for it all week. Angry at the world, and angry that he is barely scraping by in the ninth grade, Eddie impulsively tells Uncle Wayne that he's going to drop out of school - a decision that Wayne quickly disagrees with.
Eddie has been struggling to adapt to high school, and has some low grades. He starts to get after school tutoring sessions with his former teacher, Scott Clarke. He helps teach Eddie a few helpful tips to focus on his school work, and assists Eddie in getting some accommodations at the high school.
