Whoops! Wrong Region!

Summary:

Every Pokemon game has several Themes.
Every villain seeks to break down and destroy the theme.
Each player character, in their own unique way, counters the villain and reenforces the theme.

So tell me...
What happens when I take the player characters...and switch which region they go through?

Red, for one, is utterly annoyed with me. He has to talk for once.
Cynthia is worried about Crystal. How one can tell a girl she accidently wandered into Hell?
Cyrus wants Lucus and Dawn back five minutes ago. They never asked him stupid questions like this guy.

AND...I reached the tag limit. Makes sense as I have begun Round 2 of all the protags. So come on over! We might have your favorite character here!😄

Want a sneak peek to the next chapter? HINT: Did you insult my frog??? And my slug?!?!

Chapter Text

Welcome to this fanfic!

This fanfic is exactly what it says on the tin. I take in everything about a Pokemon game's region, theme, the villain, and player character; then mix it up.

"But Purple Dusk!", you cry, "Every Pokemon player character is a self-insert! There is no character! Everything will happen the same! This fanfic isn't worth my time!" Yes, this fanfic is absolutely worth your time. Every player character in Pokemon actually has character, but it is so hidden by the "self-insert" aspect that GameFreak added for their games that is difficult to see the character of the game's protagonist. Being well hidden, however; does not mean that it is not there. Take Lucus and Dawn for example. Lucus represents Compassion in Gen 4 and stands against Cyrus’s apathy. As for Dawn, she represents Connection and stands against Cyrus's need to reset everything. Lucus does his job by showing how Spirit, which in Pokemon means Intelligence, Willpower, and Emotion, help someone to reach great heights and contain Time and Space. He is a shining example of strength with emotions while Cyrus believes that emotions only make you weak. Dawn, on the other hand, shows how you cannot stand without Connection and uses her connections to reach the top of Spear Pillar, defeating Cyrus. She is, quite literally, the dawn that connects Cyrus's night of depression to the day of Hope.

Now, what would happen if I threw in Ruby from Gen 3 into Gen 4? The answer is that you will get a chance to read it!
(Spoiler: Cyrus is very, very annoyed with Ruby. He wants Lucus and Dawn back. Like, five minutes ago.)

This extra intro chapter is for you.
I plan to do one-shots of every player character in the main series game. There is, however; 21 protagonists last I checked. All have tons of potential that I will simply overlook due to being human. If YOU are inspired, please, write a comment down below requesting a one-shot! With all the requests in one place, it will be easier for me to keep track and write them for you.

Because I know some people will only read this fanfic for certain generations, I put in shorthand the generations and the games' names in the chapter titles. For example, 5-B is shorthand for Gen 5-Black while 1-R is shorthand for Gen 1-Red. The Letters are important due to there being multiple games in each generation while Numbers are important due to many games having names that start with the same letter. Example here would be 1-R (Red from Gen 1) and 3-R (Ruby from Gen 3).

For example, we have:
1-R = Gen 1-Red
2-C = Gen 2-Crystal
3-R = Gen 3-Ruby
5-B = Gen 5-Black
4-P = Gen 4-Pearl (Dawn)

8-S = Gen 8-Sword (Victor)
8-S = Gen 8 - Shield (Gloria)
7-M = Gen 7 - Moon

9-V = Gen 9 - Violet (Florian)

ROUND TWO!

1-Y = Gen 1-Yellow
2-G = Gen 2-Gold

3-S = Gen 3-Sapphire
4-D = Gen 4 - Diamond (Lucas)

For any chapter with no shorthand in the chapter title, then we have an author's mistake OR a mystery character as a POV.

Quick Note: Please do not leave cuss words in your comments. My little sister is finally old enough to read my stories, but she's still little.
