Summary
Half-organic, half-synthetic, KTNS-12 is a Synth cooked up in Beetee's laboratory as a super soldier prototype. As pure and innocent as she is deadly, Katniss, as they call her, is thrown into a world she knows nothing about, created and tested for a war she isn't part of. She quickly attaches herself to Peeta, Beetee's young apprentice, and he can't help but to feel drawn to her as well. But Katniss is an experiment, and Peeta is a scientist in training. Synths aren't supposed to feel emotions, least of all love.
Perhaps the organic and synthetic pieces of Katniss's patchwork mind can work in harmony to find a solution.
Or perhaps not.
