The True Curse of the Raven

Summary:

She had assumed Goody Addams had left, mostly because she was told she wouldn't come back when ever she brought her back from near death. But it seemed she had lied, but why? Possibly to be left alone for more decades, yet she warned Wednesday of the upcoming curse the Raven would bring. And of course she was a little late.

Chapter Text

"Hey Wednesday, are you doing anything after school?" Enid spoke as she ran up to Wednesday, slouching slightly as she walked and talked next to the shorter girl.

"No, but I do have homework," Wednesday said and kept walking, amused that Enid had trouble keeping up with her fast strides, making her walk a bit faster.

And before Wednesday could speak, she was Intrupted by Enids voice, and she frowned.

"Oh okay, see you after school!" Enid said as she fell behind to talk to Yoko.

Wednesday huffed, and kept walking to her last class of the day.

Wednesday sighed as she opened the door to her dorm, expecting to be able to do her homework with a yapping Enid in the back. But was met with unwanted yet familiar faces.

Enid (of course), Yoko, Xavier, Eugene, (And unfortunately) Ajax and Bianca.

"Enid? What are they doing in our dorm?" She turned her head sharply to the Mutt.

"I invited our friends for a little friend sleepover!" Enid stood up, and had a large and happy grin splattered on her stupid face.

"And, why didn't you tell me..."

But Wednesday answered that herself when she remembered the conversation she had before last class started, and frowned.

Enid opened her mouth to explain herself, as she also opened her arms in a hug. But when Wednesday stood back, she flopped her arms to the side, and continued to talk.

"Well, it was a surprise! That's why." Enid smiled again and went behind Wednesday to usher her towards the other girls who had nail polish, and other things she didn't care for.

Yoko looked up at her and waved a black bottle around. "Black?"

"Yes-" She was about to awnser herself, before Enid loudly squealed and practically shouted out.

"We should match!"

Her eye's widened, and she opened her mouth to make up an excuse.

"OH my God, that's such a good idea! It would fianlly add some color to her! Right Yoko!" Bianca also rudely Intrupted her with a large shit eating grin.

Yoko smiled as she caught on to the torture they were about to bring opon her.

"That's totally a good idea, right Eugene!" Yoko looked over to the boy on the corner of the bed (he had bees on his nails, cute).

Eugene smiled and nodded rapidly.

"That's an amazing idea!" He said ss he pulled out more colors for her and Enid.

"We should do moons and a sun! Maybe a wolf sticker and a raven one. Did you know that in the wild Ravens and Wolves work together for food!" Enid squealed happily as she picked out black and white for Wednesday and herself. And other bright colors for herself.

Wednesday frowned and closed her mouth, knowing there would be no point in arguing back.

But once Yoko reached for her hand, the thoughts of arguing to not do this, came back in an instant . She yanked her hand back, and Yoko did too.

If a stare could kill, Yoko would be dead with 100 stakes through her heart.

Enid stared for a second, but shrugged and took the polish out of Yokos hand, and took Wednesday's hand and began to paint her nails.

Bianca and Yoko shared looks of confusion and suprise.

Why would Wednesday Addams let Enid Sinclair touch her?

Because Enid tortured her, and she loved and hated it.

Wednesday was experiencing torture, the worst yet best kind. It got worse and better when Enids hands were on hers. And she was so painfuly close. She will never get used to Enids touch.

No matter how many times the Mutt accidentally touched her.

No matter how many times she felt her warm skin brush on her on the way to class.

No matter what, she'd never get used to it.

Not even when she imagines Enid touching her.

But which sounded better for when she thought about Enid, or someone brought her up?

Wednesday Addams despises Enid Sinclair with all her black, dead heart.

Or

Wednesday Addams loves Enid Sinclair so much it hurts her black, dead heart.

But the Wednesday Addams hating Enid Sinclair was believable.

And her loving Enid Sinclair sounded impossible, and fake.

Birds chirped, leaves rustled and mammals howling filled the forest around her. It was calming, and made her feel relaxed, something that was quite rare for Wednesday. So she enjoyed it as much as she physically could.

She had slipped out the door for a midnight stroll, which she hope caught no ones attention when she snuck out.

Yet she felt a little guilty (which was surprising) because Enid had planned it just for her, and she painted her nails

Her hands extended out as her head fell down. They had a black background, with yellow and white suns drawn on them, and a raven on her middle finger.

Enid had colorful moons on a light blue, pink, and yellow background, and her middle finger with a small wolf. Yoko did Enids nails, which made her feel a certain way when she saw her hands on Enids hands.

But other than that, they all just talked about drama at the school, which didn't interest her at all.

yet it still got to loud for her so she left. Yet, she still didn't know why she felt guilt for the mutt. It's not like she liked her.

Plus she's toxic to those around her, and manipulative when she wants something. Enid wouldn't like someone like that.

Enid wouldn't like her.

Enid doesn't like woman.

Right?

Enid Sinclair doesn't like Wednesday Addams, and Wednesday Addams doesn't like Enid Sinclair.

Wednesday's thoughts were soon interrupted when her cotton sweatpants got caught on a low hanging branch.

A growl left her chest as a scowl formed on her face as she tried to tug the branch out of her pocket.

But her frustration died down when she felt a eyes on her. Well multiple eyes, she found out once her head lifted up.

Ravens, a group of them. Atleast 20 filled the small dead tree.

And in the middle, a white raven.

Her head cocked at the white raven.

A white raven? Albino, no leucistic.

It's eye's were still the dark color a normal Ravens were, not a light red.

The bird squawked out something, and apparently it triggered the ravens like it had presed a button and had summoned bombs on her. And soon the hoard around it opened their wings, and began to dive around her just like bombs and bullets.

"what the!" She raised her voice and tried to move away, but was rudely reminded that she was still caught in the damn branch branch she almost fell on her face.

The Ravens wings hurt, as did their beaks and talons when they dipped at her body. Hitting her head, shoulders back and stomach.

she growled. And soon, with a tough pull the cotton tore loudly. And she made a beeline out of there.

Unfortunately she didn't make it that far as she wanted to.

The white raven was barley noticed in her peripheral vision when it knocked her in the shoulder.

Her head swung back as a powerful, vision? Struck her body painfully.

A soft groan left her as she fell onto the dirty floor.

She gasped as she shot up, her arms wrapped on her chest like a corpse at a funeral.

And there, before her. Stood Goody.

"Aren't you supposed to be, gone?" Wednesday scowled and stood up in pain.

Did it always hurt that much when she fell on her back?

"No"

"Then why did you tell me that you'd disappear after you saved me from death!"

"Well, it's been years since I've talked to someone. And your a brat, so you filled a lifetime of not talking to anyone." Goody barked at her with a frown.

Wednesday opened her mouth for another bratty remark, but was rudely Intrupted again (what is that, like the third time?).

"Anyway, I came here to warn you."

"Warn me about what? That I would be alone for my whole life? Because I can't trust anyone. I know that, because you already told me." Wednesday frowned.

"No-"

"Or that I'd die alone? It's like not I really care about that, wr all die alone. But still..."

"Wednesday-"

"Why did you leave me? I needed your help for so much! You could have taught me how to control these stupid visions. Yet you disappear because you got tired of me!"  Wednesday growled in frustration.

"Wednesday!" Goody exclaimed.

Wednesday frowned and let Goody talk.

"Look, i'm-" Goody started, and let the sentence trail off.

"The Curse of the Raven isn't done yet-"

"Isn't done! What do you mean, it's already awful. How much worse could it get!"

Wednesday spoke to soon, far to soon.

A choked sound came from her throat.

So much pain.

Pain she's never felt before.

It actually scared her...

"What the fu-" She choked out in a sob.

Her bones cracked, muscles stretching, tissue extending, skin tearing and being sowed back together.

And Goody simply stared at her.

But there was something new to her.

Wings, large pale and tattered wings, it matched her dirty and torn dress. They were twice the size of her body. Thick vines were warped around them, sharp with thorns and pale flowers. Th ey reminded her of abandoned ship sails, and funerals.

Her fingers dug into the damp soil under them, talons painfully growing from her weak painted nails.

Where are her shoes?

She shakily looked up to find the Ravens flying away with her shoes, and she scowled.

Before her body crumbled again in pain.

Her ears hurt so much as she listening to her cartilage and skin stretch. The scraping of her teeth growing into sharp fangs.

Then, the pain just stopped.

"Is it over..." She rasped to Goody, tired from the pain and stretching of her body.

"No where near," Goody grinned slightly, which made Wednesday more frustrated.

She watched as Goody bounced down into a squat and grabbed her chin painfully.

"You deserve this pain. You deserve all bad that comes to you... you deserve to die alone..." Goody growled at her and threw her back down.

"We all-" Wednesday tried to croak out, but was cut off (again).

"Well, I think it's time to bid adieu." Goody looked back and frowned at her. She turned her back and spread her long and broken looking wings, and quickly flew away.

Wednesday's eyes rolled back as she slowly went back to the real world.

Her eyes rolled back as she groaned, the vision felt like a drea. But the new features in her told her it definitely wasn't.

what was wrong with Goody? She was more cruel than she was before...

Was something controlling her, did she make a deal with someone?

Did she-

Her back-

Her back hurt so much-

So much that she had to bite her lip to prevent a howl of pain leaving her gut.

A shaky hand reached back and felt her back.

Nubs? And warm blood were there.

And (unfortunately) her ripped shirt (Enid had made it for her).

Wednesday began to get up, using the tree she was near to help herself up. Her legs were shaky and to tired to do much so she stood there for a second.

Her legs began to move, which made them ache more, but she continued on. But before she could make her exit out of the forest.

Pain, so much worse than the one she felt in her vision.

Everything became blurry as tears weld up in her eyes, as the pain became to much.

Nausea, so was so nauseated and dizzy. Her stomach churned in the worst way possible.

Not how it did when she was near Enid. Not how the spiders crawled in her stomach and bit her, seeping Enids venom in her.

It was so much worse, so painful.

She opened her mouth in a silent scream as she crumbled forward, and curling in on herself.

Enid frowned as she looked around for Wednesday, of course she had snuck out. She couldn't imagine how long she's already been out for.

God, she hated Wednesday so much, yet loved her with all her heart.

She wanted to kiss that stupid gothic face so much. But she also wanted to claw that stupid gothic face off.

But why would Wednesday even love her?

She shouldn't even love her.

Wednesday was a manipulative, toxic, and selfish human being with a high self-esteem, and super self centered.

Still, the thoughts of Wednesday stayed.

She couldn't imagine Wednesday being all those things when she helps Enid touch up her dyed her.

Or help her dye her Wolves blonde fur.

Or when she painted her nails when Thing was sleeping.

Or when she painted her Wolves claws.

or when she helped groom her Wolves fur, or help with the shedding.

was Wednesday Addams really all those things?

No, atleast not with Enid Sinclair.

Her smile wavered as her chest swelled up with love for Wednesday.

Yet, she couldn't help the butterflies in her stomach when she thought about her, evem when she was thinking about the horrible things she was.

And she couldn't decide which sounded better for when Wednesday came into her thoughts.

Enid Sinclair hates Wednesday Addams with her whole wolf heart.

Or

Enid Sinclair loves Wednesday Addams with her large wolf heart

Enid Sinclair hating Wednesday Addams didn't sound believable.

But, Enid Sinclair loving Wednesday Addams sounded so real.

A loud sound came from outside, a scream? No it didn't sound like one. More like a screech? She wasn't sure either didn't sound human. But alarm made her hackles stand.

"What the fuck was that?" Ajax yelped as he straightened up.

"What the hell?" Xavier also peeped out.

"Whæt the fræking fucking fuck was that!" Eugene shrieked out with voice cracks.

Why was she worried, what was happening outside?

Her hackles stood up impossibly higher.

Was Wednesday outside!

"Hey, girl. It's okay! It's probably some wereanimal in a fight or something. A school member should check it out pretty soon!" Yoko said as she saw how alarmed Enid was.

"Yeah, Enid. It's nocturnal school right now. It's probably some nocturnal weirdos in a fight- no offense Yoko-" Bianca waved her hand.

"None taken, but it's probably one of those things."

"Hey, Enid you not like, going to wolf out on us right?" Ajax said as he saw Enids tensed claws and risen body hair.

Enid grabbed her wrist tightly and shook her head.

"Course not, like they said, it's probably just some students..." Enid tattered as she looked around.

"Whatever you say-"

"Hey do you think it's some kind of Harpy, or bird person! It sounded like a squawk!" Xavier exclaimed, and he quickly started a trend of guessing on what it might be in the dorm.

It quickly filled with laughter and dumb guesses, but Enid was the only one sitting in silence. Still listening to the horrible noises. And it sounded like none of the things they were describing.

But she could faintly hear noises she could only describe as flesh and bones.

She hated herself because ever since she Wolfed out, her lycan form had heightened her sense, so she could hear almost everything. Which made it harder not to pass out when she heard the noises that made her shudder and dizzy.

Notes:

Uhm, this might have been a little rushed. And is very much not proof read. And I'm not sure I'll post a chapter 2, but I might so look out for that ig.

I'm not sure if I'll post some art for it. And I don't garentee that the updates are gonna be constant. It might take a week or two to come out. Less if I'm lucky. But school might get in the way like it always does.

Also I did this instead of doing homework so 🙃

Annd I don't promise long chapters!

ALSO I would love to see some art of this, and some ideas for future storys you want to see me do!
