Summary
Living in the Underground, a paranormal microcosm of the human world, is all you've ever known. You were practically raised in it by your late mother, who was one of many humans who established supernatural contracts with Underground monsters in exchange for incredible power. After her passing a few years ago, you're taken in by a former associate of hers – a disfigured man and known murderer, Jeff.
You survive living in the Underground with your brains and a lot of grit (and some help from Jeff)... but now, on the cusp of adulthood, you want to enter a monster contract so powerful that you'll never feel afraid again. And Jeff, knowing firsthand the misery of such contracts, swears he'll stop you and convince you to lead a normal life if it fucking kills him.
