Jean-Luc stands decisively, tugging his uniform down.
“I think it’s time for us to say hello,” he says. “Mr. Worf, hail the survivors, all frequencies. Unidentified vessels, this is Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the Federation starship Enterprise. Are you in any need of assistance?”
Static crackles along the subspace connection. Beverly and Deanna trade a look.
“Captain,” Deanna begins, “it’s possible that the Universal Translator isn’t capable of—”
Suddenly, a warm and deep, if rather harried voice rings out across the bridge.
“Captain Picard, my name is Jedi Master Plo Koon. We appreciate any aid you can lend us in evacuation — our escape pods’ oxygen supplies are dwindling rapidly and will not last long.”
